Overview:As described.Experience:Ok so I fish now and then. Usually with a rig under $100 and to be honest the $29 all in ones are just fine...But, having this is like night and day compared, well there is no comparison, to anything I have used. Weight and feel are jut amazing, it literally becomes an extension of yourself....I really appreciate the quality, the weight and just amazing build quality.....So much so I felt a bit guilty owning so I gifted to my son in law who is an avid fisherman and soooo appreciates it for what it is.

I was very impressed on how light and the quality of the rod. Comes with case to protect rod, but you will need a separate case for the reel. Having a second end rod is great just in case you break when fly fishing. I haven’t had to use it and hope never to. Rod has dots so you know exactly where to connect, that is a bonus that some don’t have. Great product and happy to have a fabulous rod out there.

I have been fly fishing in Iceland, Montana, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, and way too many other states to write out. And with all of those trips I have had the opportunity to fish with Scott, Sage, Orvis, TFO, and Moonshine Rods. The Vesper is just in a different class, comparable to the $800 Orvis Helios but the Vesper is lighter, cheaper, and even looks better in my opinion.They now have a lifelong fan here.

This is the best rod I’ve ever owned, thank you Moonshine for this type of craftsmanship at this price point. You won’t find a better rod for the money because it performs like a rod twice it’s price. I can’t express how blown away I am. If you have any doubts about this rod, don’t. You will be amazed as well!
