I am still installing my new shower, but I got the drain installed now in this and the cement set and it feels very sturdy and does not squeak. My only surprise was the drain in this was a inch further from the side opposite of where the door goes. Not a defect of the shower, and they have the measurements on the listing. I had the option of cutting into the floor and cutting the ABS pipe to move it all a inch closer to the wall or I had clearance to move the wall out a inch so I did not have to cut into the floor and extend the ABS pipe a inch to the wall. I already had to cut out the old drain and that lowered the ABS pipe in the floor a inch, which I had to cut out with a dremel blade I got to put on my dewalt power drill. Once I had that cut out, I had to later cut it again down lower to put on a ABS pipe coupler and a small few inches of a ABS pipe I put on it to once again raise the ABS pipe in the floor to be flush to the surface of the floor in the bathroom. I waited to glue that until I got this shower pan to measure and make sure it was all going to fit. The drain I ordered that was plastic that Amazon suggested for this shower tub I returned as the threads on it kept skipping when trying to screw down the inner ring to seal in the rubber gasket inside over the ABS pipe in the floor. I ended up getting a brass 2" drain at the local hardware store for $17 (cheaper than the plastic one on Amazon) and while it has a stainless steel top instead of the black plastic, I like the look better now as I have a chrome shower door I got and went with chrome shower head and new shower handle. To extend the shower wall a inch out, I ended up going with 2x3 pressure treated boards as they happened to be 1.25" and added a gab so when I install the goboard foam boards on that wall it comes down flush over the shower lip so when I caulk it between and under that I don't have to cut out a space on the bottom of the goboard for clearance to make it fit. I have no complaints about this shower tub base. It looks good, feels good and feels very strong. It was not all that heavy either to carry up the stairs. The box it came in was beat up pretty bad, but the foam packing inside kept it safe and there was no cracks or breaks or any damage to the shower base. I will come back and update this review in a few months after I have the shower all installed and have used the shower to see how well it stays clean. What I like about the black color is I expect it will be easier to keep clean than the white.

This was very well built and very sturdy. Even my construction guy commented on the quality of this item. It has supports underneath which help keep it in place for heavy people and it is thick overall. I was very pleased with the quality of this shower base compared to some of the crap they are selling these days. Look no further, you will be happy.

I purchased this for the first time to try as an upgrade for a client, and I must say I'm quite impressed with the quality of this pan. It is much heavier than you think it is, and the low curb makes it an excellent option. BUT, the center drain is not truly in the center of the pan it's actually offset for whatever reason I don't know and we'll drive a lot of people crazy.

This shower base is well built with fiberglass reenforcement and PVC support. Heavy duty and built to last. The diamond pattern provides the perfect nonslip surface. All in it's a good price for what you get. Four stars because it doesn't come with the drain.

This is real quality. Heavy duty yet very sleek with beauty. Very easy to install. Dream line is my go to manufacturer.

This is an amazing shower pan. The color in the picture doesn't do justice. The shower pan is a beautiful grey color and dark.

We purchased this shower pan twice. The first time we ordered a center drain and we were shipped the wrong size and drain was offset. Amazon offered us a discount if we wanted to keep it in lieu of returning it. That doesn't work in the space we are installing it in. Therefore, we returned it and got our refund. We ordered it a second time and although the correct item was shipped, it was damaged. The corner of the fiberglass shower pan was broken. (see picture). We attempted to contact Amazon but no discount was offered; our only choice was a return. By now, our construction project was extremely behind schedule. We reached out to Dreamline on December 2nd, responded immediately to their automated email requesting pictures and details, but never got the issue resolved. Don't bother calling their number, as you will be left holding to only be put directly into a voice mail and no one returns calls. Emailing them is useless as well, as no one responded or attempted to assist us in any way. One response from "Michael" stating he apologizes if no one responded to our inquiry and all discounts come from the Dealer. Never heard from him again or anyone else. My husband was able to get a fiberglass repair kit and thankfully we were able to make the shower pan work in our space. However, I still feel that a damaged product should be discounted at the very least. We are unimpressed with Amazon's customer service lately and Dreamline is no better.

Very nice quality. Thick and durable.. installation was quick and easy and the size is true and fit perfectly. A great value. It has a very nice clean look to it with a center drain

The product was delivered in a few days, it was packaged within a second padded shipping box & was received in perfect condition. It is a well designed quality product with a beautiful finish & looks like it will provide many years of trouble free service. I would not hesitate to purchase this shower pan again when we redo another bathroom shower. well done

I almost opted for a MAAX shower base and then stumbled on to the comments in the Home Depot website. Instead I paid a bit more (about $160 more) for this and it is rock solid. This base almost feels 'ceramic' to your feet. It's solid and doesn't have any give which I am led to believe a lot of cheaper shower bases do. It's got a great grip on the feet without feeling uncomfortable. Slick product. See photo of it installed in our new bathroom. **Note: The first Dreamline shower base Amazon shipped to use had a crack in it. But I was able to ship it back and they simply replaced it free of charge and even tried to overnight to keep the project on schedule. We got really good customer service from Amazon on this one.

I have not installed yet but I checked. everything is fine. Good packaging, good quality and price.

Shower base sits nice and level. ( make sure your sub floor is level and solid ) The bottom side of the base has a series of rings that will sink into a base of mortar that you will need to apply on the sub floor, only in the area where the rings will contact the floor. There is nothing that I am disappointed with.
