Attention Coupon Aficionados!
While I am sure that this cutter works beautifully on fabric, I am composing this review for crafters who may be interested in it for paper cutting, or more specifically, cutting coupons! As someone who cuts and organizes thousands of coupons each month to donate to military families who are stationed overseas (they can use coupons up to six months past the expiration dates), it is my responsibility to trim stacks of multiple copies of the same page to save on postage. Thus, enter the Grace Company My Comfort Cutter 28mm!For anyone who doesn't want to read a detailed review, here is a synopsis: I love this cutter. When used with a self-healing cutting mat AND a TrueCut Ruler, cutting through stacks of the same coupon page is faster & more accurate than using any other cutting method, including a traditional guillotine paper cutter. The 90° curve and comfort handle allows you to prove a consistent pressure to the cutter so that you know you are cutting through your fabric/paper and not having any uncut portions. The only complaint that I can see is also something that makes this product great: you really need to purchase a TrueCut ruler to maximize the benefits of your Grace Company My Comfort Cutter. Now, for a bit more detail!ConstructionThe Grace Company My Comfort Cutter (henceforth referred to as MCC) is constructed from durable plastic with a rubberized grip and thumb rest (which is also textured; the thumb rest is at the top of the curve). The blade guard is slid backwards by the switch on the front side of the cutter (the side where you can see the blade, which is used in the product picture). On top of the blade is a plastic assembly that is used in conjunction with the TrueCut Ruler system; to change the blade there is a screw on the back side that allows you to take the blade off and change it.Finally, you can personalize the handle by popping off the covers and inserting pictures, names, or whatever you wish underneath the clear panels located on both sides of the handle. A stencil is conveniently included with the package to ensure that anything that you insert will fit properly.UseUsing the MCC is simple. As with any other cutter, after you have traced a chalkline, you can freehand cut the fabric, or in the case of coupons, simply follow the dotted lines. Using a ruler, though, is where it gets tricky. As I mentioned in the description, there is a plastic guard on the front of the blade that is designed to function with the TrueCut Ruler. How it works is simple: the plastic guard creates a gap with the outer edge of the plastic guard feeding into a slot on the TrueCut ruler. The blade of the MCC is then spaced at exactly the correct distance to follow the edge of the ruler, thus ensuring a straight cut.Final SayIt is the compatibility with the TrueCut ruler and the ability to cut straight lines through a stack of paper that makes me so happy with this product. Rather than having to cut each coupon out maybe two to three sheets at a time, I can now stack them up and using the ruler as both a weight and an edge guide cut out the coupons to prepare them for shipment overseas. The comfortable grip, the confidence of a straight line, the ease of changing the blade, and the maneuverability of a 28mm blade around oddly-shaped coupons have led me to confidently recommend this cutter to not only quilters, but to crafters everywhere who do a lot of cutting and want a straight, reliable cut every time! With a variety of sizes to choose from, you can be sure to find one that will suit your cutting needs. Sure, it may stink knowing that the best results require you to purchase a secondary product; fortunately the TrueCut rulers are not too expensive and come in several sizes to suit every budget. In short, this is a solid purchase that is comfortable and easy to use and will serve you well over time.

Great for Cartonnage fabric boxes
Easy on the hands, easy to operate, and to change blades. This product comes with replacement blades, which is very convenient. This model is helpful for someone with arthritis. The cuts are clean and do not require much pressure.

Comfortable and Secure
I really like using this product. It is a much better angle for my hand and I find I don’t get as tired while cutting. While cutting with it, my hand feels more secure and steady and I have more confidence my cuts are accurate. An additional feature is you can insert your favorite fabric on the sides. It has become my go-to cutter. So far I cut a bag using vinyl, cotton, and interfacing.

Not as easy to use as it looked in the picture
Not as easy to use as it looked in the picture. It felt very uncomfortable and awkward in my hand. This product is probably built great for others, but as for me I didn't like it.

confort cutter for less hand stress
I really liked the handle angle for ease of use, pushing forward to cut instead up bearing down. There is a small learning curve for changing the style of rotary cutting you may be used to but if you need to work with less strain on your hand and arm joints this really helps. I did adapt the cutter by taking out the ruler guide because it wouldn't work with the rulers I already have/like. It was just a matter of dissembling the blade and removing the guide disc. I also think the smaller the cutter you use the less strain on your joints. You do not have to buy the matching rulers with the edge guide for the comfort cutters but they could keep you on track if you are new to rotary cutting and not already set in your ways or are having a hard time keeping the blade next to your ruler edge.

This is not to compare to scissors. A child could amputate a finger.
This item is very sharp. Children should not be allowed to handle or use it without adult supervision. I had no idea it is as sharpe as it should is, i did not realize that I touched my knuckle with the blade until I saw the blood.
