Philips Philips Wireless ON/Off Switch, Wall Plate Included, 150ft Range, Home Automation, Remote – SPC1246AT/27, White

Got for husband to make turning lamp on and off easier while sitting in his recliner. He loves the idea of just flipping the switch instead of trying to find the knob on lamp. Instead of screwing to wall, I Velcro it with those damage free strips to side of his recliner.

This is a quick and easy way to add smart plugs to your home however I do have issues with the connection not working between the remote and the plug about 1 in every 20 or so uses

Needed a switch near the door so I could turn on a lamp that was not near the door. This worked perfectly! Very easy to set up. Now when i come in the room I can just reach over and flip the switch and it will turn my lamp on. Works every time. And what is even nicer, is that you can take the switch part out of the wall plate and keep it next to you to turn your lamp on or off.

Second one I ordered. First one I sent back because it didn't work. The second one stopped working after I got it less than 6 weeks later. Too late to return. Waste of money buy a different product.

The cover plate is a different size from all other standard cover plates (small and medium standard rocker cover plates on the left of picture) and says Philips on it, so it looks out of place if you have it near any other outlets or switches. It isn't meant to be mounted to any electrical gang box, as the mounting holes are very close to each other in the center, and there aren't any adapters that allow you to mount it into a 1 gang electrical box. In the picture you can see the mounting holes are in the plate that holds the remote (top right plate). I wanted to use this to replace a 1 gang light switch in a room, but the mounting solution isn't great for that.

Bought a few of these, worked for a bit but failed. Ordered another one and it clicked on and promptly clicked off. Would not spend money on it.

This is aesthetically really nice looking and I was looking forward to using it. However, when I opened the package the casing includes a little piece with two tiny springs that flew off! It was impossible to put it back together and I was unable to use the full light switch casing as shown in the instructions. The plug-and-play part was easy but I ended up using double-sided tape to mount the remote without the casing. I didn't want to deal with a return so i just left it like this.
