Bought as a Christmas present, and arrived next day. This was part of a multiple-item order, so it came with two other items in a box, but the set itself was inside bubble wrap, then its own box (as you'd find it on a shop shelf), then a typical plastic post bag - so I'm not sure how it would arrive if it was the only item ordered. As it was, it was very safe with extra packing in the external box too. As for the product itself, the glasses are bigger than expected, and weighty. They have a real nice, solid feel to them. The tongs and "ice" blocks are fine. The wooden box though, with the foam inserts to keep the items safe, is excellent. It's really nicely put together, with the lid down every surface is flush and it looks great. The only slight issues I found were the glasses were a bit dusty, so I've had to clean those before gifting, and there is some pencil on the box marking where one of the hinges is sited. Despite appearing to be pencil, for the life of me I can't erase this and don't want to try any chemicals in case I damage the wood. Overall, a great-looking gift.

Everything about it was excellent, I got it for secret santa and the person loved it. I would buy again!

These VonShef whisky glasses and stainless steel stones look good in the presentation box.But that is where it stops, because who drinks chilled whisky? Unless it is to hide the taste.And the “stones” are light without much thermal cooling capacity.If one needs a cold drink, it would be far better to put the glasses in the fridge for an hour beforehand. That big heavy chunk of glass in the base has a much greater thermal capacity than the pretty lightweight metal stones.The glasses in mine were covered in fingerprints, and reading the instructions it seems the dishwasher is not a good idea. Hand washing these turned out to be an awkward pain holding them safely when slippery because of where all the weight is.What this set is really good for is being a perpetual raffle prize doing the rounds of all the local charity events.

These stainless street ice cubes do stay longer than the traditional ice cubes. You get all the coldness with none of the water. This is a nice gift set that would be perfect for anyone who likes a whisky or other spirit tipple and likes to drink them in style.The gift set comprises of a pair of high quality glasses, a set of stainless steel whisky 'stones' and a pair of tongs all beautifully arranged in a nice wooden presentation case.The idea of the stainless steel 'stones' is a nice but quite simple idea. Instead of using ice to cool your whisky and the suffer the flavour of the spirit being ruined by the ice as it melts, you instead use these cubes. You place them in a freezer as you would an ice cube tray and allow the freezer to cool them, then instead of placing ice in your drink you use a couple of these stainless steel 'stones'.The reason they get referred to as 'stones' is that traditionally you would get 'stones' made of granite, however these are a modern twist on the idea. Being made of food grade stainless steel they are perfectly safe (as are granite ones), cool your drink nicely without diluting the spirit and best of all are nice and green as they are endlessly re-usable. After use all you need to do is rinse them and then place them back in your freezer again. The tongs are also provided so that when taking them from the freezer and placing them in your glasses you don't need to handle them directly.The glasses supplied are pretty nice, perfectly clear glass they are obviously high quality products and feature a nice thick heavy base giving them a quality 'heft' when you pick them up. If there is any criticism it is that the glasses are plain whereas many glasses in such gift sets will feature a cut glass design on them, however these have an attraction in their simplicity and may appeal to those who feel cut crystal glasses are overly fussy.Finally there is the presentation box, this is nicely fitted with cloth finished foam cut outs for the glasses, stones and tweezers. If I were to be picky the box could have be better finished with a wood stain/varnish rather than just the bare wood, but at the price point this set is offered at this is really expecting a little too much.Overall this is a nice set and recommended.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a must have gift for any whiskey drinker. The glass itself is well made, sturdy, simple yet beautiful.Perfectly weighted and comfortable in the hand. Love the the idea of the ice cubes not watering down the drink.Presented in a stunning hand made wooden gift box making it a perfect gift for any occasion. This is price well for the quality. Highly recommend.
