Victorian Princess Style Cotton Nightgown for Women Vintage Palace Sleepwear

I remember wearing pretty nightgowns like this when I was a young girl. I felt very feminine wearing this. The over lay is that fine polyester net mesh that is popular in fashion right now that lends a flowy, diaphanous quality to clothing. The underlayer is a cotton blend with a tiny bit of stretch that provides a bit of warmth. This is too much material for me to sleep in-so I would remove it before getting in bed-since I live in Florida. Not many nights occur that I would need the warmth. I hate to struggle with clothing beneath the covers. The underlay stops just above the uppermost ruffle layer so the ruffles are sheer which starts below the knee. The arms also have the double layer. In fact it’s all over the gown except the ruffled layer at the bottom. The one thing I kept having to adjust is bringing the front back down as the gown tends to ride up a bit and reveals more of my upper back. Otherwise I do love it and glad I purchased

The lace is tougher than I expected. The cotton is very thick of that’s what you’re looking for, than this is perfect for you. I was looking for something thinner not like winter sleepwear is what I’d describe this as. I’ve not washed it much so don’t know how it’s going to do with that. And I have only air dried it. So it’s very stiff. I assume after a few more washing it will get softer...? Hopefully. For me it’s more comfortable for lounging in not sleeping in.

This Victorian style white gown is a nice thick cotton. You cannot see through it like most other woven cotton gowns. One warning is the upper arm has a gathered band (not elastic) and if you have chubby arms, that could be a problem. It was fine for me and I love it!

Absolutely perfect. I like things roomy unrestrictive but usually that loses some flattering lines in the process. Not this time ! Not this gorgeous nightie. 1st time I’m going to order in another color and also see if longer length too just for modesty purposes. I ordered it in XL (160 lbs 5’4”) but it doesn’t hang off me. The placement of empire front seam may not be good for very large busts. I have a very wide back but relatively small cup size so this line fits me wonderfully. The fabric is perfect not too thin (not transparent even in white) but not heavy or too hot for spring summer. It looks very expensive, well made and for that recommend as a gift except you won’t be able to let it go .... I’ll include a photo ASAP.

This lovely nightgown must be made for tiny people. I am petite bet it barely fit over my head. No elastic at neckline and hemline so I head the threads ripping when I move.Does NOT fit over both shoulders too wear off the shoulder. It’s beautiful but poorly made.

I purchased this jume 2020. It looks diffeeenr in me to the photo but I have boobs. It comes to my knees. Is very soft tee shirt like cotton except for lace. It’s comfortable and seems well made. I’d only hand wash or in a bag on delicates as the lace won’t stay the same otherwise. It arrived quickly and I have no complaints.

This night gown was exactly what I was wanting and hoping for ..... It is beautiful , extremely soft and fits perfectly . I ordered a small I weight 115 pounds and I’m about 5’7”, I can’t wait to order more .

This product is cheaply made. The sleeve detail is a serged edge and the top part of the sleeve is sewn with the bottom sleeve attached to the top sleeve by a top stitch. I sew and the workmanship is not exquisite, the quality is not there.Never bought clothes from Amazon will never do it again.Amazon is going downhill. I’ve been a Prime member for years and this is my second disappointed review on orders this past week. I wrote a third 6.5 years ago when I ordered sugar paste owls for cupcakes for a baby shower, and 1/2 of them came broken.

Yes, so feminine. So soft. Just the prettiest nightie I’ve ever seen. Hand washed. And the lace will have to be ironed. But thats what you get for the beauty of it. I can see why most of these are gone on the web site in my size. I really hope they restock before Christmas. I have it on my wish list. So many styles. And not many in my size .

It looks exactly like the photo. I don’t know how tall their model it but it fit my daughter who is 5’ 3” tall and came just below her knees. It’s a light weight cotton and it’s very cute. I don’t think I would spend much more than the list price. It’s a pretty good value. I believe it may shrink if you don’t wash it in cold water.

This nightgown is lovely - the cotton is crisp and durable, the design is feminine yet comfortable and it is full length. I cannot imagine a nicer garment to sleep in! I ordered two sizes up to ensure that it would not be too skimpy, but it is too roomy for me. I will keep it, but reorder another for a better fit. The fabric is sturdy and promises to stand up to many washings. All in all, a great purchase and would make a beautiful gift! Next day delivery, too. THANK YOU!
