Fantastic read for those using okta or new to okta. Also seems to be the only book on the market for it so it’s great that it also happens to be very well done.

This book is an amazing resource for Okta admins who have used the platform for a while and those who are just new to the platform. For admins that have been using it for a while, the book provides a great refresher on things you may rarely use OR add-ons you have not yet purchased but want to learn more about without sifting through the marketing speak. It helps that the guide gives you actual real life examples of how certain products can be useful in an organization. It helps you visualize just how and where a particular Okta add-on could work in your environment. For admins that are new to Okta, this book is a must-have. While you could take an Okta course to get some of the lessons in here, this books gives you the opportunity to learn at your pace with some well vetted/well thought out examples of how to get the most out of your Okta purchase. I've already introduced this book to other members of my team that wanted to learn more about Okta in a more consistent, straight forward way.Additionally, I recently renewed my Okta service and used this guide as a way to understand some of the features I was considering adding to my environment - so its already having an impact on how I use the Okta platform, and i've been using it for years at this point.The writing is top-notch and very easy to follow. The structure of the book works in such a manner that you can read it front to back and get a lot out of it or you can read it in pieces/particular sections that are relevant to you and get a lot out of it.No matter where you are on your Okta journey, this guide is something that you should definitely have by your side as your start to develop the identity strategy for your organization to ensure you are getting the most out of the Okta platform.

HenkJan and Lovisa have done a great job at covering everything that Okta is about. It’s a great handbook and they have made it so easy to understand and explore for beginners.It can also be helpful as a guide for certification and a great resource within teams to pass around when new hires start.Great effort indeed!
