Great wire stripper!
I had this type stripper when I was at tech school as part of the school's kit, years ago in the early 2000's. I bought this tool mainly to strip Jonard's 30awg kynar wire after I got tired to using an exacto kinfe to score the jacket. Tested the stripper on the 30gauge wire after adjusting the easily adjustable screw/nut that slides in the middle of one of the handles with a flat head screw driver, and stripped it beautifully without any nicks. Obviously, you need to adjust the screw just enough to cut the jacket without biting into the wire. You know you adjusted enough when the stripped wire slides easily through the stripper when fully closed. The cutter is sharp, and cut through the wire without any issue.I did consider Jonard's more expensive stripper https://www.amazon.com/Jonard-ST-450-Adjustable-Precision-Thickness/dp/B007A1Y986/ , but at about four times the price and reading some of the reviews, I reconsidered. The only downside is that there is only a single setting for wire size. Although I did try it when it was not adjusted and the stripper cutting through the wire in the original position. With just using feel and little pressure to cut the jacket, I was able to strip the 30 gauge wire no problem. So I can see myself using this for larger gauge wire even though it's adjusted for 30 gauge wire.Since it's cheap enough, I may buy another for the 26 gauge Jonard Kynar wire I have on order, just to make it a skilless exercise.I'm sold on the Jonard brand. The make awesome kynar wire and this too is up to the standards of their wire.

Perfect
Personally, I love v notch strippers. I've tried klein and southwire and I have to say I prefer these, they strip great, small and compact and easily adjustable. Although I don't use the adjustment screw (just feel when I cut through insulation)Will buy again when I start another tool bag. haha

Works well for the most part
Works pretty well except for how hard it can be to get the set screw to tighten down where you want it.

My go to for strippers now!
This stripper is small and compact and fits great in my leather holder I keep on my belt at all times. The curved handles make it comftorble to use long term and the lock catch is simple and easy to one hand open. The nut to adjust for cuts will work just as intented without getting in the way or moving on you like some of those swivel types, I never use it and go by feel but it will work as needed if someone has to use it. This is the first smaller stripper I got that I haven't had to delete things on it to make it work the way I want it, this is a great old school stripper that won't take up much space in your tool bag, heck just put it in your pocket and you won't know its there! Full stars on this one it's a winner and I love it, heck I might just buy another one for my tool bag! Been using this now full time in heating and cooling for 3 or so months now and it still cuts great and looks almost new, be smart though with this, sure I strip larger wire like 10 or 8 gauge wire in a pinch with this and it does it great but it shines with smaller gauge wire. I try to avoid using this on larger gauge wire because I don't want to wear it out to quick. For the price this is a great stripper and is my go to that is on my person at all times during work, get it you won't regret it!

The Best Wire Strippers I Have Ever Used!
Over the years I have had probably two dozen wire strippers and most have been problematic; poor cutting, not ergonomically shaped, loose fitting. These Jonard's are excellent, they strip the gauge of wire perfectly taking off only the insulation and leaving every strand of wire. Highly recommend!

Awesome if you have lots of the same size wire
If I'm working with multiple different sizes of wires, I would not want a tool like this one. But with tons of the same size wire? hell yes! this style is really fast once you get it adjusted.working on re-wiring a Lowrey organ, well over 100 wires just for the keys, all around 24ga. Automatic stripper doesn't work right on them, but this tool makes stripping the wires a breeze and very fast.only drawback is that I wound up with little bits of insulation all over the place ;-)

Great for stripping multiple wires of the same gage
It will take a couple of tries but once it is set, it is great for stripping multiple wires of the same size. I am using small gage silicon wire and this works well. I had it set for 24 gage and that setting also work for my 28 gage with the silicon casing. I would recommend you buy it if you have work to do!

Hard to find
I've always had a pair of strippers like this but they are getting hard to find. These are perfect. They are the only strippers for fine gauge wire as far as I'm concerned.
