3554-5 5 in. Western Stirrups Irons

I bought two pair of these stirrups as they seemed like a great option for wider boots, but our first time riding in brush proved that they break away feature is not well connected. It broke off of two sets of these stirrups. We tried to resolve with the seller and then the manufacturer. The manufacturer recommended we tape them back together or use a string.. Their photos are attached. These were their suggestions. Not at all helpful. If their factory glue won't keep the rubber attached, they should note that these are not meant to be used by actual cowboys. DO NOT PURCHASE!!

Although these look a little odd, I ride with them today and they are fantastic. But can't slip forward, you can't get dragged in you fall, and I never lost them even in trot or canter. My feet stayed solidly in the stirrups. Give up the traditional 200 year old stirrups and get these!

The stirrups came with the rubber part about half an inch from the side it was supposed to be attached to. The rubber was very flexible. I don't feel that they are safe. There is not support on the side where the rubber is supposed to be attached.
