I bought 6 of these to stock-up as spares. They showed up on time, packed very well, and they all worked perfectly. They're the exact same size and brightness as the more expensive bulbs. The only difference is these don't have an ink stamp on the bulb showing the wattage.

When lit, scratches and uneven paint job is very evident and illuminated. Otherwise, could be a beautiful bulb! Great idea but poorly executed.

Love these specialty bulbs. They are very nice accent for special corners.

This bulb runs VERY hot, perhaps because the metallic coating reflects the heat back in. It wasso hot that it was damaging the paint on b the fixture. I could not use it, and replaced it with one of those low wattage LED? bulbs.

Originally I had a traditional 40 watt bulb in the hanging light fixture over my kitchen table and felt it wasn't bright enough so I replaced it with a traditional 60 watt bulb. While that was bright enough, it also kind of blinded us as we eat dinner. Then I found these "sliver bowl" light bulbs thinking they would solve the problem of the light being too bright coming straight down. It did solve that problem, but the 60 watt silver bowl bulb was dimmer than the original 40 watt traditional bulb so I purchased a 100 watt version of the silver bowl bulb. The 100 watt bulb is maybe as bright as the 40 watt traditional bulb (i.e. still not bright enough).So, bottom line, the silver bowl cuts out a LOT of the light.Slide note: I purchased 4 of the 100 watt bulbs, the first one I installed burn out in 10 minutes!

Purchased to go in down-directed lighting over a kitchen table. They work nicely for illuminating without having a bulb shining directing in your eyes

Doesn't glare in your eyes.
