These are by far the absolute best cleaning rods I have ever used. I own five of these cleaning rods. Three of them are fir .22 caliber rifles and another two in .30 caliber. I stole this from my father's playbook. I keep one with a jag on it for pushing through cotton patches and a bronze brush on another one so Im not constantly changing out jags and brushes. The third I keep with my range gear because you never know when the need for it may arise. The ball bearings in the handle allow the rod to twist freely with the rifling. They are hands down one of the best cleaning rod designes on the market today.=

This works as advertised. The bore guide seems a little for me, and I haven't used it, but that doesn't mean someone else won't like it and use it. My only issue (which I knew going in) is that it isn't collapsible, so you'll have to find a place to store a ~40" rod. I just cut a spot for it in my long Pelican case. Also, the end of the rod is threaded to accept patch holders, brushes, etc. but it doesn't come with any of these accessories.

Overall I'm really happy with this cleaning rod. In fact I'm, ordering another for a friend. My only complaint is the width of the handle as it interferes with the top of my stock when cleaning, however it is a bench rest stock and has a high cheek rest. I mention this only in passing as I am still happy with it.

Fantastic cleaning rod for the money. Ball bearings in the handle allow the patch to following the rifling for a better clean. The handle is counter-balanced to help better maneuver the rod tip. This is the third one I've bought to give away as a gift.

I bought this for a Yugo SKS. Length is perfect. Handle is built tough & the bearings work really nice. I've had issues with multi-piece or "break down" rods breaking where they screw together. Don't have that problem with this one piece. Also had a one piece rod that I broke the handle off. This one is MUCH better. Now I just need to get better quality attachments and the breakage issues will be over. You won't be disappointed with this product.

Gunslick gets 5 Stars awesome product!Vista Outdoors only gets 3. The product was covered with dust which you can see in the photo and there is a small cut in the handle. I didn’t expect an item that has been sitting on a shelf in a dusty wharehouse for a longtime. Thought this was brand new???

It's so nice to have quality tools to help with gun cleaning. I need to throw away all my aluminum threaded rod sections as I don't think I will ever use them again. Should provide years of service provided it's not abused or used improperly. Definitely helps to have a guide to insert into the action.

When you want to do a thorough cleaning at the end of the season or range day this works extremely well. I like how the bearings in the handle allow the brushes to rotate and follow the lands and grooves of the barrel.
