Ideal compost for repotting my orchids

Never used before. Water runs through very quickly without appearing to do any good but collect in saucer below and pour in again , then the volume lessens which appears to be all that is necessary. My three plug orchids appear to be growing after three weeks but of course no flowers for a longtime.
