Great smart bulb for Philips Hue
Works perfectly on Philips Hue and given that they don't do an E14 golf ball bulb with tunable white it's a no brainer.

A Bulb That Hue Doesn't Manufacture (Yet)
At this moment, Hue do not produce a tunable white E14 golf ball style bulb and this is the nearest quality zigbee bulb. It is used in a small searchlight table lamp so doesn't need to be all singing and dancing colours just enough to mood change with whites. It's controlled via the Hue app and works well across the white spectrum and timers. It's integrated with Alexa through Hue and functions as you would expect. No comment on longevity yet.

Lovely light cast, no flicker
I never knew you could get smart bulbs in small screw format until I seen this one. I have a lamp that I’ve had for many years in the corner and this bulb is perfect as it brings the lamp up to date and integrates it in the rest of the home with voice control. Previously we could ask Alexa to turn off the main light but have to turn the lamp on manually. I already had smart life installed on my phone and adding the new bulb was easy, I have an Alexa plus that acts as the gateway. The bulb is flicker free which is important as my partner suffers from optical migraine. Very happy with ease of install and operation.

£23 a pop if you want to show off
Meh. Just because you can do something should you do so?Cannondale invented a mono-fork for their mountain bikes and it looks cool but that's about it (it is also a beast to service). A triumph of engineering over sanity.Another IOT device, another app. Is this the way to go?A word of warning. The internet of things is a truly exciting prospect providing you don't mind your behaviour being voyeured and monetised. If you have a few of these, the device count on your router/modem is going to escalate.I have just had to "root and branch" replace an adequate wifi/powerline home network because it was falling over with 20 devices. Not unrelated to this count was my kids coming back from uni (for ever? I hope not). We also feed an adjacent holiday let property from the arrangement. So a VDSL config that only had to contend with 15 devices on a bad day suddenly became obsolete with 20+.£300 later I have a TPLINK mesh system that is according to the blurb "good for 100 devices". And if you are going to SMART the lighting, the fridge, the toothbrush, et al, this number is beginning to look a little bit needy.BTW each manufacturer has ensured that interoperability between mesh systems is a no no. So you pick one and you are locked in. My TPLINK system is buggy and I cannot help think that it was rushed to market so the customers could do the testing instead of the test team.It would be a shame if your 30 independently addressable lightbulbs brought your home network to a standstill.Afterword. I do have a Cannondale Lefty. It's a female dog when its broke, but sublime when it ain't. Just be prepared to upgrade your home network when the 30 bulbs are joined with the 5 air fresheners, 2 autonomous vacuum cleaners, one naughty lawn mower and all your neighbour's stuff as well (which is actually a "known issue"). IOT. A brand new dawn or the same old problems given a 21st century refresh?

Rather dim bulb for your ZigBee network, if you don’t mind the price
This is potentially a useful bulb for anyone with an existing or planned ZigBee network (Philips Hue, for example). Maximum brightness is limited to 470 lumens, though, equivalent to about a 40W incandescent. And you’ll need the Ledvance app if you don’t have Apple Home, unless I’m missing something. It’s great to be able to adjust the colour temperature, and over a wide range: 2700K-6500K. Dimming seems fairly irrelevant, though, with maximum brightness just 470 lumens. CRI of 80+ isn’t the best but is fine for most purposes. The bulb is smaller than a typical incandescent, at about 90 mm tall x 47 mm diameter. It should last many years, given the claimed life of 20,000 hours – about 20 years, at 2-3 hours per day. Life varies according to switching cycles too, but that’s quoted as 100,000, so is unlikely to be an issue.I see three problems with this. The first is the low 470lm rating, the second the possible need for yet another app, and the third the price, currently £23.07. If you use Apple Home and are happy with 470 lm maximum brightness, however, it’s worth considering.

Not the brightest
This came packed in a nice retail box which kept it in good condition when it arrived. Setup was easy using Google home, and in 5 mins the bulb was working fine.First thing to note here is that this is not an RGB LED product, but the colour temperature is adjustable, so though it can be made to fit with other household bulbs, it cannot change colour.Personally I found the light output to be lacking here. When your product is outputting less light and costing considerably more than the premium priced competitor product, something is wrong. That said, it works as intended and is clearly a quality product which will last a long time. Just be sure a "40w equivalent" will work where you intend to install this bulb.

LEDVANCE SMART+ Lampada LED E14
