Large Authentic Mexican Serape Saltillo Blankets 7'/5'

I use a washable serape (i.e., it can't be made of wool) for my corgis to sleep on when they take up residence on my bed at night. A decently made serape has a fine enough weave to keep the dog hair from getting onto the human bedding -- a goal much to be desired. And if it's made of cotton or synthetics, it can be run through the dryer every morning to shake out the night's collected fur and washed a couple of times a week for cleanliness's sake.This product fits both requirements: it's washable and its weave is reasonably tight. The only grutch I can offer is that you have no choice in colors. I'd have preferred the color combo of the top three pieces shown in the image. But, like many other buyers, I got the one that was mostly orange. It's not awful -- goes OK, I guess, with the Diego Rivera print in the bedroom. But orange isn't really my favorite color. Better that than dog hair, though! ;-)

Great colors, and respectable quality. It does shrink quite a bit. When I first got it it hung over the edges of my queen size mattress after washing once in cold water, it is an inch smaller on each side than the mattress. Not a very heavy blanket, but these aren't supposed to be. Worked out great for me.

Looks nice. You can sleep under it and you can use it for a tablecloth the next day. I can't get enough of this thing.

This product arrived before time. The colors are so vivid. The length is exactly to description.It's not very heavy so if your looking for warmth this may not do it. I purchased it for that pop of color I was looking for.It does have to be hand washed that's the only draw back. Also, this product does not have the fringe as shown in photo.

The blanket I received was mostly yellow in color, but it still looked great and was good quality. Thinner blanket. Used it for a photo backdrop, but it now looks great on the end of my bed.

got this for husband to use as seat cover in his new "toy", a 65 Valiant wagon. colors are great and it's very soft yet feels durable and strong, like the dogs claws and the grandkids won't tear it apart. Big size too. He wants another for the front, so guess it's a hit.

Well, it 's a blanket. Just what was advertised, and yep, it's plenty big and colorful. Not as nice as the ones I bought in Chi-chi back in the '70s--the thread is much coarser, lower count, and not as brilliant, but it did save me a trip to Mexico. Not sure if that's a good thing, 'though.
