Newbie; trying to stretch $ on supplies / accessories to get more. is it necessary to buy this brand brayer (tweezers, mats, vinyl etc)? thanks!!

I would definitely recommend the mats but, no, you really don’t need the Cricut brand of other accessories nor do you need to get all of them at all. For the vinyl, I always watch for the sales. 651vinyl.com, Siser, and Cricut vinyl have all worked very well for me.

Is this silicone? I have a problem with fur control!!!

This brayer is not for fur control. Use a lint roller for that. Brayers are for flattening things down or putting ink on blocks. Takes bubbles out of vinyl as an example.
