Worked great for melamine shelves
I don't usually write reviews but this blade worked very well for melamine closet shelving that I installed in my daughter's home. I cut around (30) 16" deep shelves and ripped 24' of double sided shelving. Cuts at the end of my project were still exceptional. I set blade height 1/8 thicker than the 3/4 material and had no issues and NO chipout

Full thickness NOT thin kerf
i had hoped for better. Blade cuts double sided 3/4 and 5/8 melamine very well. Very little chip out but there is some, and for that I am disappointed. The chip out appears sensitive to blade height. normally with sheet goods I'd have the blade exposed about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the depth of the material. With this blade and cutting double sided melamine the best height is about 1 to 1.5 inches above the material height. Too high and the bottom chips, too low and the top chips. Experiment with scraps to find the best height and feed rate

Nice hefty tcg blade
This is by far one of the best TCG saw blades Iβve used. I specifically purchased this to use on a large Melamine mill job. Cuts are accurate and clean as long as you scribe your cuts (half cut on each side of sheet goods), full through cuts still produce tear outs as is the nature of Melamine no matter what blade you use. This blade has a tendency to gum up with melamine. I use simple green daily to clean the blade. Most blades are a hassle to clean even with simple green, but this blade looks like new with every cleanup. Good blade, hefty full kerf.

Good value and good results.
I have been using this blade for over 6 years in our wood shop for cutting double sided melamine, and I currently have 6 of these blades. I use the blade on a 10" Powermatic 66 table saw and I usually get the best possible results for using a basic table saw. The absolute best method would be to use a sliding table saw with a scoring blade, however we do not cut enough melamine to justify that expense. I build custom closet systems and my customers have never complained about the cut edges being chipped. Using this blade does require careful precise attention to the height adjustment. Too high and there will be excessive chipping on the bottom, too low and excessive chipping on the top. You have to adjust the height to get the best result on the top and bottom cuts of melamine.Once the blade is dulled some, we downgrade it to be used for cutting Extira, MDF, and some wood cuts where chipping is a factor. The only drawback I see is not with the blade itself, but I find I can't get them sharpened properly locally

Works fine for me, but obviously not for everyone.
People seem to have had different luck with this blade; I'm generally in the "good luck" group. I'm not sure why.I don't get 100% chip-less cuts all the time, but most of the time I can rip a 48" melamine board without any chipping. Since melamine is cheap, and there's usually a way to install the board so a small, isolated chip doesn't matter, this works fine for me despite the occasional chip. There are a number of tricks for cutting laminate without chipping. Most of the time with a manageable size piece I don't need any of them with this blade. If you're new to this I'd look up the tricks. If you're an old hand and this blade doesn't work for you, I have no idea why. Maybe you got a lemon?

Not as good as I had hoped
I bought this saw blade here on Amazon. I thought I was getting a blade that could cleanly cut both sides of melamine material. I did not. This blade is nice as far as the top side of the melamine is concerned but the bottom is another story. I installed in with a zero clearance insert (that I had made specifically for this blade), at first cut it totally chipped out the bottom THOUGH, that was my own fault because I had the blade raised way too high to work efficiently. The farther I lowered the blade the better the chip out became on the bottom side. Eventually I got it to where there was hardly any chip out but the blade was seriously maybe a quarter of an inch above the 3/4 inch mel. Heres my issue, I was testing the blades chip out on small pieced of melamine, I make shelves and I cut full 8 foot rips on my table saw, this thing was nearly as bad as a regular blade in that respect. The top edge is fine but the bottom is chipping BAD, there is no mistake about it. I knew I was gambling when I bought this blade for 40 bucks. Tenru makes a similar blade that costs over $100. I should have spent my money on something else. I would not buy this blade again if I had the chance, I will probably just be using this blade for making small cuts, I would put it on my miter saw but I do not have a chop saw with a 10 inch blade and a 5/8 arbor. This blade gets 2 stars only becuase I will be able to use this for SOMETHING at my shop, if I didnt work on small projects this thing would get one or maybe none if it were possible.

SUPERIOR
I get outstanding cuts in 3/4" melamine with this blade. I keep two in the shop so I can always have a sharp one.I cut on a Delta Unisaw: First cut is a very shallow scoring cut. Then I flip the workpiece and raise the blade to go most of the way through. I can't get a good cut if I cut the entire thickness in one pass, but that's the nature of Melamine.I highly recommend this blade.

Description says it all
The first one of these blades I ordered was phenomenal. It cut Melamine flawlessly. It was a HUGE breakthrough for me as I've never seen Melamine cut that clean on a table saw. The odd tiny chip here and there, but it blew away any other blade I've tried with Melamine. I cut a full set of kitchen cabinet boxes with it. A very large kitchen, mind you. I was very happy. When I began cutting the drawer pieces, I started getting some chips.I'm very fussy and I didn't want any chips in my drawer boxes, so I decided to order another new one of these blades for the drawer boxes. This new blade didn't perform nearly as well as the first one did. I had chips right away. I played around for about an hour with the blade height, feed rate, painters tape, etc. But nothing worked. I don't know what could have been different from one blade to the other, but there certainly was something. At this time, I have a hard time deciding if I should buy a third one and hope it performs as well as the first one. Even though I've just spent another $120 on a second brand new one with hardly any use on it.
