Occidental Leather 5020 2-in-1 Tool & Hammer Holder

I purchased this item from Great Brands USA and although it’s an awesome product, when I received mine it looked like It had concrete droplets on it and the hammer loop appears to have a bunch of scratches on it. I hope the finish wasn’t sanded off and does not corrode. I messaged the seller and apparently that’s how their products are shipped to them. I would say these are QA/QC rejects but what do I know. The item works as it should. Fits an Occidental 3” ranger belt just fine.

I had another version of this with a utility knife/pencil holder, which I didn’t like. Slip joint pliers (with annealed wire cutters) are probably one of my top go-to tools at work, so this holder is genius.

Great idea for carrying that extra tool

I love occidental leather, I just wish they would make a holster for your hammer and your aviation snips. Mine fit in here but it is a snug and I mean SNUG fit. It tore up the leather trying to get them to fit.

I went away from the side loop on a drywall pouch to this. Started wearing it over my right back pocket and found it's pretty easy to hit and thread the hammer handle in that position.I keep a pair of long-handled Knipex dykes in the second pouch. Works great. Recommended.

I had this in 2 different tool belts i own, for my carpenters set up i actualy like the pliers pouch as is a convenient out of the way spot for a tool im not usin all day but its good to carry on me at all times, i find that the way its mounted does not slack around as much as other occidental leather holsters

I bought this as a gift for my husband, he needed it for the 22oz Rock hammer. The loop was a little big for the rock hammer but he thinks he can make it work (he could also use it for his other work hammers). I didn't think it would get here for our anniversary because I ordered late, but I was surprised when it came days ahead of the given date of arrival. It was very good guality leather and he really liked the way it was made.

I set dowls at least two or three times a week and this thing is awesome for holding my pliers and hammers! Great craftsmanship and awesome material!

Nice to have the extra plier slot, but the hammer loop is a smaller than the high mount hammer holder I replaced it with. Because of the location I put my hammer, which is on the right side of my back behind my right tool belt, it makes it it a bit trickier to get the hammer back into. It seems the closer towards the center of your back you keep your hammer, the trickier it gets to put your hammer in. I use a Vaughn 23 Oz California framer with a curved handle. As far as I know the end is not that much bigger than other hammers.

Very well made. Thick leather. Fits on the 3 inch Occidental leather belt perfectly. Fits a pair of pliers and obviously a hammer.

I cannot give the hammer holder the full five star treatment because the 5020 is not the item pictured. In fact it is a metal hammer loop with an extra little pocket for pliers or whatever. I didn't return or exchange it, I will just live with it. Amazon should change the little picture there though. Also the leather is extra tough and is a wonderful colour.
