The info on the can states "79 kcal. per can." I don't know what the "k" means.

Q: How does this food help cats lose weight?

It is lower in carbs and calories than some other cat foods. It meets their nutritional needs but with fewer calories. My cat is a large cat ( has Maine coon in him) but was definitely overweight too at 18 lbs. He has lost more than a pound over the past year ( a good weight loss according to the vet) by just changing the food. He likes it (would not eat another wt loss food) and is satisfied/ satiated with it.

Q: Am i reading this right? if my cat is 17 lbs she gets 6 cans a day? please tell me this isn’t accurate i can’t afford that !

This is the recommendation on the can, which is ridiculous!! My cat is 21 lbs and he gets a 1/4 can in the morning and 1/4 can in the evening, along with 2/3 cup of dry weight management food spread throughout the day. He is still heavy and looks like an oven stuffen roaster!! :) I don't think he is loosing weight, but he is maintaining. He loves this food and constantly begs for more!! We have no left overs!!!
