Marathon 4.80/4.00-8" Flat Free Tire on Wheel, 3" Hub, 5/8" Bearings, Ribbed Tread

Parents had a flat tire on their old wheel barrow. Got the measurements off the old tire and replaced with the new one. Simple fix. Works great!!

The big benefit of this tire is that it will never go flat. This is nice since I seem to have to replace tires on my wheel barrow every 2 years. Unfortunately, it is so stiff that that it does not conform to the ground like a pneumatic tire does so it leaves a round-bottom groove in soft ground.

I am so glad I found out about these no flat tires from Marathon. Every spring I would have to wrestle with soft or flat pneumatic tires on my wagons or wheelbarrows that I use for my nursery business. Over the past few years I have replaced those pneumatic tires with these flat free ones when the pneumatic ones failed. The only drawback I have found is that when I carry a contractor-size wheelbarrow full of firewood, there isn't the cushioned flex of the tire that a pneumatic one has, but that little extra bumpiness of a ride is well worth the trade off of not having to fuss with soft tires, especially in the dead of winter.

These were just what was needed to replace the disintegrating wheels on the Rubbermaid cart I use for cleaning stalls and paddocks. I took all the measurements from the old ones, as well as noted size information and these worked great.

Easy to install. I only had to take the bolts out of the axle bracket on one side to install the new tire and axle.

replaced like for like with this wheel for our wheelbarrow - the wheel slides more back and forth on the axle than the previous wheel which shouldn't be a problem but it isn't quite an exact fit
