They lasted a VERY VERY VERY LONG time!
I wanted to give these shoes a fair review now that I am about to throw them away and move on to a new pair of the same shoe.First off, I gave these shoes a 5 star, but they are NOT perfect shoes. But the pros seriously outweigh the cons. and the cons are an easy fix.The pictures are of the shoes after they are basically worn out. I can get a few more months out of them but the comfort is gone and they are falling apart.I wore these shoes 5 to 6 days a week 10 hours a day on a construction job site since the day I bought them. I have been wearing them for exactly 3 years!! I have always worn DC skate shoes or other work tennis shoes like Merrill and Chinook. I have never had a shoe last more than 1 year until I bought these Oboz. The Pros:* Lasted 3 years* Comfortable right out of the box* True to size* Super durable rubber sole* A nice looking, stylish, sleek shoeThe Cons:* The heels on the inside of the shoes started wearing out within 8 to 10 months. You can see how blown out they are in the picture. the composite heel cap started breaking down and chipping away after about 1 1/2 years. I wore them with blown out heels for the past 1 1/2 years with little issues. THE FIX: Self adhesive heel protectors will stop the wear on the heel fabric of the inside of the shoe, but does not sacrifice comfort.* Arch support was a little high. THE FIX: Replaced insoles with Timberland anti fatigue insoles.* The tongue falls to the outside of the shoe. THE FIX: A lot of shoes do this, I drill a small hole in the tongue and run a small zip tie thru the tongue and the lace hole to keep the tongue from slipping

Extraordinarily Good Travel Shoe!
I have an upcoming trip to France that will involve city walking and also country locations so I needed one shoe that could do double duty. Something that wasn't a running or training shoe that could pair with slacks for a nicer event but could also handle rocky trails or other rough terrain. This shoe really delivers in both areas. It's dressier than a running shoe but built to handle off the pavement travel. Flexible in the front with a bit of stiffness in the midsole makes for great comfort and the grippy sole is ready for the trail. It was true to size and broke in nicely wearing it for a couple of days around town. The long lace pattern allows for customizing the fit for your foot. I highly recommend this shoe!

Great looking shoe - unfortunately hurts top of my foot
I was excited to get these shoes as I am a fan of Oboz and really wanted to like them. I love the clean monotone casual sneaker look of these shoes. They go well with casual outfits and was hoping they would fit the bill for all-day wear with ability to hit some easier hikes and general outdoors wear.My feet are ~13.5, medium width. In most shoe brands 14M fits best. Knowing Oboz tends to run a bit small, I went with size 14 and they fit nicely. I would think if you have a true size 14 foot, these may be too small. Compared to their heavier hikers, like Bridgers, they are a bit wider in across the toe box, which is nice. The overall fit is a bit more relaxed than other Oboz I've tried but still was snug enough in the heel to prevent slipping. The Oboz insoles are great too. I need an insole with good arch support and ankle stabilization, and Oboz is one of very few brands I don't have to replace the insole in, saving at least $30. The heel is a little lower than other hiking shoes, but is still high enough to provide good support. The laces felt strong and solid and were easy to adjust. The tread pattern seemed like it would provide excellent grip, however, I did not get a chance to test that out.The problem I had is the seam where the tongue attaches to the vamp was rather prominent and with every step pushed down onto my toes. Very annoying. I don't know if I just got a bad pair or if this is a problem with the design, or if the design is just a bad match for my feet, but sadly, these had to go back. Still, kudos to Oboz for making an excellent looking casual hiker.

A great find...
My need for these shoes is rather unique. I do a lot of outdoor exploration both by foot and by bike. When I hit a trail that I can't ride, I shoulder my bike and hike it. My hopes were low since I have 2E width feet. These shoes fit... well, the bill and my duck feet. No only do they fit well for wide feet, they are great for intermediate hiking, have a relatively stiff sole for cycling and are just generally comfortable overall. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Excellent excellent
A well-crafted, well-thought-outgood-looking shoe. Very comfortable out of the box--no breaking in period needed. Excellent outsole grip on dry surfaces (I haven't tried it on wet surfaces. Hope it works well on them also.). Perfect for traveling or everyday use, even for light hiking.I ordered the wide size, but it felt like between regular and wide, although it felt wider than their other medium width shoes. The color looks darker with a slight green-ish hue in real life than in the pics on the product page.Hope to see more shoes of this sort (casual shoes with the hiking DNA--definitely wide size!) from Oboz in the near future.

Needs more Tongue!
I am very pleased with the comfort, fit, and look of this shoe. My one complaint is that the tongue is a bit short almost to the point where the top layer of laces rests on your foot. The tongue needs to be an inch longer for greater comfort. There's not even enough material to grab a hold of to try and pull it up. That alone would make me think twice about re-ordering in the future.

Nice tough leather hiking shoe
3 miles a day walking the GSD through dirt, gravel and creek crossings. These do it effectively and comfortably.

Light and comfortable from the beginning

poor quality
The shoes tore in the most unexpected place three months later. The length of the laces is such that you can weave fishing nets. A very stupid shoe model, but very comfortable.
