Looks and works great!
Excellent upgrade for my Chevy truck! The silver tube and black filter combination looks sharp under the hood. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality is solid with good fitment. I've noticed improved engine sound and throttle response after installing. The black filter element appears well-made and the stainless steel clamps hold everything securely. Great value for the performance gains - would definitely recommend for other C/K series truck owners! This highlights the: - Appearance and build quality - Installation experience - Performance benefits - Value proposition - Specific vehicle compatibility

You'll want this! And extra tubing :)
Got this for my 78 Mercury with a 403 stroker fueled by Aces EFI (go check them out!!!). I was surprised it was metal when I got it, the pictures made it look like plastic. Anyways, as ALL chinese companies are the package will NOT arrive looking pretty, sure theres a few scratches on mine but you cannot see it unless you're looking for a problem. If you're on the fence about this purchase just get it, if you've got a carb or TBI its gonna fit regardless of the specifications. Very impressed with the quality. As with all CAIs you're gonna need extra tubing to actually see noticeable improvement in power. out of the box, no matter where you put it it's just a "slightly cooler hot air intake" :) As I said, carb or TBI it'll fit. Highly recommend

Fits Holley and edelbrock
Intake hat fits Holley and quick fuel 4150 4 barrel carbs. Requires longer stud mount, supplies air filter barely fits pipe, but makes a good base for cold air intake core. Installed on Chevy sbc350 with Brawler 650cfm. Wrapped with heat reflecting tape, intake air temps dropped almost 30 degrees

It actually works and looks good
It actually did improve the throttle response on my 91 camaro 5.0 TBI. Better than the traingle air filter from edelbrock.

A Questionable Performance Upgrade, But Solved My Specific Problem
The kit I received has a better overall material build quality than I expected based on other reviews. However, it does have some issues keeping it from hitting 5 stars. This is very much a case of "you get what you pay for" when you compare it to the $300+ alternatives. It fits my needs for a specific issue I'm trying to solve on a custom build (I swapped Vortec accessories into my TBI truck and couldn't clear the Vortec air conditioning manifold with the factory air box), but I'm not sure this is a very good option as an actual performance upgrade. The factory TBI setup is already designed to suck in cold air through the fender, and can be improved for airflow from a few free modifications. This kit sucks in warmer air from inside the engine bay rather than completely through the fender, though it hypothetically should have higher airflow than the factory setup (if your engine can make use of it). Since it relocates the filter to the side of the engine instead of directly on top, this should be a slight upgrade over the classic "lid flip" or an open element filter. It's a tradeoff where the compromises probably balance out for negligible performance improvement in most cases though. The more expensive options are designed to isolate the air intake from the engine bay for a reason, you want the ambient air temperature flowing into the filter to be colder than the inside of the entire engine bay. However, if you're a firm believer in running an open element or a lid flip, you'll likely see advantages here at a more affordable price than the "proper" cold air upgrades.

Buy a different filter..
Mine ripped off the backing plate so rode in engine bay for a while I got dust in my engine from this looking like I need a engine rebuild now. Horrible product will never buy again.

Great Value
I had to modify the peice that attaches to the throttle body (mine is a double hole). I'm mechanically inclined so no biggie. The rest went together Easy-Peasy! Sounds very throaty like a big 700 holly. Throttle response is quicker and I believe fuel economy is better. Well made and is of quality materials. I looked at the more expensive intakes and this is just as good! Highly recommended.

Amazing looking product
Product looks amazing! Fits just like I expected. The coating looks better than what I expected it to come with but coating durability is to be determined. I will be buying more of these. I installed it on my 1993 gmc k1500 mud truck
