It's 2022 and Quality still great!
You know how the quality of some brands just aren't like what they used to be and yet the cost has increased? Well these Clover brand pins are very nicely made and I can see why they cost what they cost. I thought they were a bit expensive for pins but I was looking at other well known brands I've used before but people complained that the quality is lacking in terms of the tips snagging the fabric. You don't want a pin that will snag your fabric otherwise you end up ruining something that costs more than your pin to begin with. I'm definitely happy to have made the decision to splurge on such a small item. The pin shafts are smooth, the plastic tab is big enough for you to easily grab. Also I like that the tab colors are visible shades for those pesky moments where I accidentally drop a pin to the floor. I hate using the ones with the pearl drop ends because even with the colored ends, I still have a hard time finding them if they're dropped on carpeting because it's like looking for a tiny dot. Last thing you want is to find it with your bare foot. The packaging does warn you that the tabs are not iron-safe. They come in a compact clear plastic storage container. Get them, they're a good investment for people who sew or do repairs on clothing.

Nice pins for quilting and other sewing uses
These are high quality pins that are all consistently sharp and well made. The long length and plastic flower on the end make them particularly useful in quilting. Several years ago, a friend gave me an extra set she had. I've enjoyed using them. Over the years the points on a few have become a bit dull, but this happened with only a very few. I have used them in all my sewing. While the pins are a bit pricey, they are comparable to other similar products, and you get what you pay for with Clover products.

Finally! A pin worth using!
If you are working with thick or multi layered fabric like I am (fleece and textilene), these are the straight pins for you! Yes, there are cheaper pins, but when half of them are dull and the other half bend with every use, are you really saving? I started using these immediately and all of them are sharp, long, & strong! I used less pins, and not one of them has bent yet. I foresee these pins not only lasting through this year, but for years beyond! I haven't thrown out the old pins yet, but they are packed away. I doubt I will ever need to use them again - Yippee!

Best pins I have ever found/used. Worth every penny. Buy some!
Best pins I have ever found. Well machined with no burs or thick.thin spits. Heads never some off, and are remarkably easy to slide without any snagging. This is well polished metal here. Thick easy to grip slightly ridged heads (also improving grip). These stay in fabric and yest are easy to remove with a flick of a fingernail if necessary. Much longer than most pins you can get in store now. I have successfully used on thick and thin fabrics with same level of durability and usefulness. They come in different sizes and this size is the standard sewing size.

Sturdy
Clover makes great pins, but their flower head pins are very, very expensive. This large pack is far more economical than their usual small paper envelopes. However, the pins in this pack are their thick, strong pins. They work well for garment sewing, but for quilting I find I prefer their finer flower head pins, which while less durable are more flexible, and thus do not cause the fabric layers to shift as much, and are easier to sew over. So I took one star off for the fact Clover does not offer an economy bulk pack of their ultra fine flower head pins!

Smooth.....like I expect from Clover
Working on a paper pieced quilt and really needed flat pins. I had Two pins of another brand, but I needed four. Yes, I bought these just for four pins. Oh my! When these came in, I through the others away. The others looked smooth until I had these for a comparison. These are fairly thick. By my measurements, 28 thousandths versus 20 thousandths for the extra fine pins. What this means is that they do not bend as easily as some of the finer pins. On the flip side, they are thick enough that I would not stitch over them. The flat heads are critical for foundation paper piecing. The heads are easy to grasp. The heads are plastic, so I would not iron over them. These are now on my list of critical sewing items. I will never again start a foundation paper piecing project without them.

It is great to write
I use a sharpie to write on the flower heads for labeling quilt rows, or top left/top right etc. It is great to write, 1, 2, 3 etc or TR/TL to mark your quilts to not get lost in placements. They are inexpensive for this and you can make lots of them. There are products you can buy for this purpose but they are ridiculously expensive or you have to pin them on etc. So, I thought, why not just write on the pins, and these are great for that. I use a super fine sharpie, and you can fit a lot on the flower if you write smaller. I also use these for my pins for pinning. I typically buy several packs and use all of one color for my markers, white for example and the other colors for plain pins. These are sharp, they dont rust, they are long so great for quilts.

Flat, long, decent but not perfect case
These pins are great for pinning patterns as they are longer and the end lays completely flat. Both of these things mean the fabric doesn't bunch up as much. I try not to run them over with my sewing machine, but so far I haven't bent any and in the same time period I would have bent at least 5 of the old short ones with large heads. (maybe it's because these are easier to see and remove, maybe it's the length of pin allowing me to put them further from the edge.) The case they come in isn't quite ideal as it does sometimes fall open, but it's better than most of the cases I've seen outside Altoids tins. (and it's clear unlike the tins.) The heads are plastic though, so be careful not to iron over them.

Decent pins. Cute and ok quality for price
Accurate description. Decent product. Not the sharpest, but not bad. They are good enough at this price point.
