I was surprised by how nice these little lanterns were for the price. The came with batteries, easy to install and get them up and running, TONS of light, just overall very happy with the purchase. To turn them on you just flip up the metal clips and pull up to open the light, the clips act as hangers, then easily close for storage. Impressive amount of light for something so small.

We got these for our camper. They have worked our perfectly. Bright and exactly what we wanted. Great size not to big not to small. Batteries seem to last a decent amount of time. Very lightweight and durable.

I bought a four-pack of Etekcity lanterns 1 year ago and they’ve been amazing. They lit up my entire downstairs during power outages so well that a neighbor thought I had a generator! The cool white light is bright and clean—much better than the yellowish tint of other lanterns. I use Eneloop rechargeable batteries and got nearly 50 hours of continuous use from one lantern. Great light, long battery life, and unbeatable value. Highly recommended!

I bought a four-pack of these Etekcity lanterns years ago and I love them. In fact I returned here today to purchase some more of them for a couple of my relatives. I have used mine for power outages due to severe winter weather and thunderstorms and these lights performed beautifully and illuminated the entire downstairs. One of my neighbors actually came over and asked if my electricity had somehow been restored and of course I said no, and that I have these awesome lanterns that throw a surprisingly amount of nice white light. He thought I had somehow had my power restored or that maybe I had a generator running because my downstairs looked so bright. He was so impressed that he ordered a four-pack of them too. I particularly like that the hue of these lanterns is a "cool white" which is a very white light; not that awful yellowish tint which I cannot stand. These are a nice white light similar to a fluorescent light. I'm pleased that these little lanterns throw a lot of white light. And the batteries will last quite a while too. I ran one of mine as a test for close to 50 hours non stop to see how long the batteries would last. I have Eneloop high capacity rechargeable batteries installed in mine and it works out very well as those are a very low self discharge type of battery and they hold their charge extremely well. LED's don't use a lot of "juice" so you'll get a lot of bang for your buck with these lanterns. You certainly cannot beat the price of them. I have had these all around the house for power outages for years. They are bright and can really light up a space plus you can close them partially to cut down brightness. They are shaped well to hang or set on a table, lightweight and well designed. Lasts a long time. Good product!

I have bought two sets of these so far very pleased with them. They put out a lot a lot. Use them at home for when the power goes out.

These lanterns are absolutely amazing. They’re lightweight, battery-operated, and easy to handle, yet incredibly bright—seriously, don’t look directly into the light. The illumination spreads wide, similar to car high beams, covering about 180°, so you can see both straight ahead and in your peripheral vision. I’m not using these for camping, but as emergency backup lighting during storms, power outages, or when going outside at night. They work perfectly for that. Getting a four-pack with batteries included is an excellent value. Very impressed and highly recommended.

I bought these for my elderly parents in law during a power cut when they lost light, heating and cooking. Candles were too much of a fire hazard. Hopefully when they have another power cut these will help light each room. They have a compartment in the top to store the batteries when not needed which is very helpful and they close down to a very manageable size to store. They are metal and not plastic and so feel sturdy when unscrewing the battery compartment etc. I liked them so much I have ordered some for myself and now my mother wants some too.
