Lacis Sit-On Round Embroidery Lap Frame, 10-Inch

If you do any kind of embroidery, you are always looking for hoops and/or stands to free-up your hands to do the stitching. There is the added condition for those who participate in reenactments of any kind, that your tools and implements must be of acceptable materials. This does both!The height of the work area is adjustable, the wood is nicely sanded so there are no splinters and the surfaces feel smooth, warm, and soft. This is important, since you will have it in your hands a lot. The hoops are substantial too, they won't be warping. The two hoops are made to a close tolerance, so the stretching of the fabric is even and tight. The hoops edges are rounded and easy on the hands. The height adjustment allows it to be used on a table or as a lap fame and to be raised to a comfortable level to really see what you are doing. This also allows you to work with one hand underneath and one on top to pass the needle through the fabric quickly and easily.I have other frames, hoops, and stands, but this is becoming the one I use most often because it is comfortable to use, a quality tool, and useable in so many situations.

Stand is sturdy, well made, and smoothly finished. It is lightly shellacked, and dies not snag clothing or upholstery. Every part tightens nicely, and the frame holds my linen canvas securely. I wrapped the bottom hoop as I would wrap any bottom hoop, and I'm thrilled with my results. If you're looking for a sit-on frame to use for stumpwork, goldwork, or any type of embroidery, this is a great choice. 😛

I brought this as i had a broken wrist and needed hands free support as I cross stitched. The metal piece that turns bends easily and the screw/bolt came apart. I hope I can fix it with a longer screw as I face a second surgery soon.

This loom is saving me hand ache and allows me to cross stitch for longer periods of time. I sit on my recliner and stitch away! The only problem is the small grommets that hold the loom to the "hinge" came lose within the first couple of hours of use making the loom to wiggle and which will potentially cause the loom to come apart. I hope the find a better way to connect the loom to the metal hinge, that would make it a 5 stars for me.

After searching for an easy frame for me to do my needlework, I found the right one! It works great. I am able to place it infront of me, where I can easily cross stitch from top to bottom and the hoop can be moved upward so I have access to the bottom of the work with ease. Well made, sturdy and easy to work with. I can set the height of the hoop to fit my need. It is lightweight and easy to assemble and disassemble when needed. A great little accessory for any needlework. I would recommend this product.

Use it frequently. The ring wasn't as nice as I would have liked, a little ruff and I had to glue it back together where it started to separate.

I absolutely love my new fanny hoop. I thought it would feel uncomfortable to sit on, but it is so comfortable. High quality hoop and stand. Assembly is so easy. Absolutely worth the money.
