Guinea Pig Wheelchair - Skeeter Chair - Wheel Chair for Disabled Guinea Pigs by SporadiCat (Blue)

My guinea pig was the runt and was born without a femur bone in his leg (per xray's). As he grew, his legs bowed outwards to accommodate the additional weight. later it fused and he drags his back end mostly. He is the smaller one above with his cage mate of similar age. (For size reference) Since my g.p was smaller than normal it was difficult to get him to fit properly in the wheelchair. The business owner went above and beyond to try to get measurements correctly and attempted a rebuild. Unfortunately, his anatomy didn't allow this to work with this design as it was the size of his body and way his back legs bow outward/location. Both hind legs got too close to the wheels. Maybe if wheels were smaller or if had two rows? I am not sure? That being said It is a sturdy piece of equipment that did require to be put together upon arrival. (screws). Owner made great efforts to try to accommodate and the returns were easy.

I have a disabled rabbit who lost the use of her hind legs. She isn't in pain and isn't giving up on life so this chair helps her get around to do some of the bunny things. Since she is less than a year old and growing, the adjustable height makes it able to grow with her. The cost is a bit high, but well worth the money given the time and effort it takes to make one out of PVC and adjust for growth. Really added to our rabbits quality of life.

My young Guinea Pig Boog had an infection in her spine a few months ago which caused permanent damage to her rear leg function. She keeps dragging her legs and has ended up with a few pressure sores. I was lucky to find this, it's a perfect fit and she seems very happy to have that constant pressure lifted.Thank you!
