Anyone experience any issues with trigger that leaks? First nail gun I purchased leaked after 10 staples and then will stop but then come back??

I just bought this stapler and also had an air leak after the first few staples...On the second use it quit working altogether... I have several different Bostitch tools and this is the first time I ever had an issue.

Will this accept 1/4" staples? It will not?

Shoots 1/4" staples perfectly fine

Can i use this to staple a carpet runner up my steps?

can this nail three quarter oak flooring ?

I would say yes. I've not nailed oak with my gun but have nailed 3/4"pine, 3/4" plywood, & other thick materials just fine with it.
