I'ts probably fine, but it's not what I expected - I don't listen to CD's or watch DVD's all that much so this was pretty useless to me. It might be fine if that's what you're set up for. But I knew I wouldn't use it when I saw the disk.

My problem with this product isn't the Spanish instruction but the software. One day after I bought LSLC I learned that a new version was released which I could buy for a 50% discount. Every other company that sells software products that I’ve ever used sends people who purchased the product within 30-90 days of the release the upgrade for FREE. Also be aware that this product comes with a single machine license vs a single user license. And the process to get files onto a mobile device is 10 years out of date. I bought  Pimsleur Spanish Conversational Course - Level 1 Lessons 1-16 CD: Learn to Speak and Understand Latin American Spanish with Pimsleur Language Programs (English and Spanish Edition)  and found it to be as helpful and significantly cheaper. It's audio only, FYI.

I am going to be spending quite a bit of time in Mexico and want to learn Spanish. I am 64 years old, so this is a bit daunting to say the least. I am not quite through Level 1 yet but I certainly feel I have and will get my money's worth. The process allows me to hear, see and speak Spanish, and it is repetitive enough that I do not have to work on the repetition myself. It is very understandable, in both English and Spanish, and the lessons are well thought out. Learning Spanish Like Crazy was recommended to me, and I see why - I feel much more confident that I will be able to learn it now.

Another thing that is helpful about this program is that it allows you to transfer the audio from the program to your mobile device. This will enable you to learn Spanish or review what you have already learned while you are busy doing another activity.As I mentioned above, the program is primarily audio. So do not expect written exercises or drag-and-drop exercises. But despite the lack of written exercises, the program's audio-based lesson plan and bonuses will help you to easily learn Spanish and have you confidently speaking Spanish in no time.

I can think of 5 reasons why I believe it very useful and effective. 1) It helps you develop the ear for hearing Spanish speakers in real time. Spanish usually runs together, and this program helps train the skills to break those sounds up so they sound like real words. 2) The program provides usable Spanish in every lesson. These are not silly lessons that explain things that never come up in day-to-day conversations. It helps you order coffee, define the family structures, catch a cab, etc, in a natural conversational flow. 3) It's only 30 minutes per day. I used a different program that took 1-2 hours per day and LSLC yielded better results in a shorter time period. 4) They use authentic Latinos from Latin America. You won't learn an outdated version of Spanish. 5) It is very affordable and effective.
