Stable and Pulls Well. An Excellent value.
Kite is simply great. Loves riding right up to zenith and hovering until you give it an input. Very stable and predictable under control input. Love the hiss it makes as it cuts through the wind. The video is in about 8-10 mph wind. Can't wait to do the 4 line modification...

this kite is awesome fun
This is great fun. I've only taken it out one time so far, but first impressions are very good. Flew it in 10-13mph winds and it was a blast. Its fast and powerful feeling in that wind....i cant imagine how much more it pulls in 20-25mph....but intend to find out at some point! its well worth the $50 for the amount of fun this thing delivers...i know two of us enjoyed it out in the wind until we got tired (it is a physical activity fighting the wind...but thats part of the fun!).....and cant wait to go again. Just to be clear though....i am a total newbie to kite flying ...and we figured it out on our own...just the directions, some web research, and hooked up the kite and was good to go. crashed it a couple times...no biggie since there is no frame to break,,,,just had to walk and straighten it out. But we were soon up and flying figure 8's. controlling the kite seems intuitive with the two lines....its just getting used to the speed and responsiveness and how and when to pull on the lines...all while having a fair amount of pull on you when the gusts kick up! good times. highly recommend. Will update if anything changes with further use....but kite seems well made (HQ is a legit kite company with a good reputation...not a cheapo knockoff) and flies great out of the bag. It might have a little too much pull for younger kids but they have smaller ones (for even cheaper) that would work good I imagine. I know this is an entry level kite and there are many more elite parafoils and kites out there...but bang for the buck in regards to fun i think any would be hard pressed to beat this.

Kite flying is my new favorite hobby!!
I have become a kite flying maniac. This kite is so much fun to fly. It does require a steady 15 mph wind to really be able to perform stunts well. I added a 35 foot tail which doesn’t have any affect on the kites ability to perform at all. The kite and tail do tend to draw a crowd. People tell me it is awesome to watch me fly it. They also want to know where I got it. I think a lot of husbands and kids may get one for Christmas gifts. There is no age limit to enjoy this sport (I call it a sport because after 2 hours of flying you will feel like you just came off of a football field). I am 62 and I enjoy flying this kite as if I were 12. It is great exercise. This kite is not for small people though. I am over 6 feet and weigh about 280. I bought the 87 inch kite and a strong wind gust will pull me off balance a little so consider a smaller kite for kids. HAVE FUN.

Excellent kite for the money. FUN FUN FUN!
Oh yeah! For the money this is an excellent and fun kite for beginner and intermediate flyers. Material is kinda thin, so keep it away from thorns, etc. I flew this kite on the beach all day when I accidentally flew it into a static kite line, which tore a big gash into the kite. Definitely my own fault, but that just tells me this kite is a little more delicate than I expected. Either way, you will no doubt have fun with this kite. Packs easily into any small bag or suitcase and it comes with excellent quality kite lines. You can fly it straight out of the package.

I love the kite, but the name is misleading; it isn't a 2.2 sq. meter kite, it's more like a 1.5 sq. meter kite
HQ Symphony Beach III 2.2 First of all, I assumed I was buying 2.2 square meter kite. When I received it, I could see it was much smaller than 2.2 sq. meters. The specifications list it as 220cm by 73cm, that calculates out to 1.6 sq. meters (and it would be 1.6 sq meters if the kite were rectangular, but since it's rounded, it's more like 1.4 or 1.5 square meters). So I didn't get what I was expecting. Other than being smaller than I expected, I really like this kite and have had loads of fun with it. It flies well in lighter winds and has some pull in heaver winds. It's great beginners kite for teens and is good for adults too. It's easy to fly and loads of fun. I weigh 180 and it pulls me around in high winds. It has had many hard crashes and still no signs of wear. My grandson weighs around 100 lbs and he really gets a workout. It's well made and come with 80ft 220lbs Dyneema lines, that makes this kite is a great value.

Great kite, Problem with the strings that came.
I love the kite and have 2 of them from the same maker. This kite came and there wasn't any wind or it was so stormy that I couldn't take it out until this week, when I did, I found that the left control string was cut and tied back together about halfway out, so I couldn't fly my kite at all as the cut and tied together ends would never hold with the winds and pull that this kite has.

Goes up with minimal effort with any wind over 5 mph
I've flown it 2ce. I'm a 145lb 58 year old lady. The first time in wind about 15 mph. It went up like a rocket and gave me a startling pull where I had to run forward about 10 feet as it went through the power wind zone. It was a little intimidating at first and I flew the kite at the edges of the flying zone most of the time. The comical part was trying to land it and catch up to it on the ground before it took off again ( I was by myself). The next time, there was a nice 6 or 7 mph wind, but by the time I arrived at the park the winds had dropped significantly to between 0 and 5 mph. I was actually quite impressed that the kite would go up with very little effort in as little as four to five mile per hour winds. It flew very gently and I wish the winds had stayed around but alas, they kept dying out. Can't wait till I get an opportunity to try again.

Great quality, durable, a blast to fly
I've had my eye on a similar 2.2 from another brand for quite a while but opted to go with this one. We happened to have some good (but gusty) 10+ mph winds today locally, so we gave it a try. This is our first foil kite, and first two-line. I didn't get to play with it much, since my 9-year-old and 11-year-old were having a blast with it. It took a little getting used to, but they finally figured out control and wind envelope, and they loved it! The few minutes I had on it were thrilling, and the pull from this thing surprised me. It was enough to cause the kids to struggle to stay in one spot, which they thought was awesome. We all had an absolute blast. Quality seems surprisingly good, and it's durable, having endured numerous full-speed dives into the grass. Zero complaints, wish I'd picked one up years ago!
