Comfort reading
This book was free for kindle, so I did not expect much from it. I was pleasantly surprised and found it to be an enjoyable read. Bella or Izzy as known by her two close friends is divorced from her controlling husband and has custody of their two boys. Her husband has remarried and lives in a large luxury house with his wife. He still likes to control Bella and take away any confidence she has gained. Bella has worked hard and managed to rent a shop with a two bedroom apartment above it. Everything is running smoothly and she enjoys the company of her friends that is until Owen arrives in town. She soon finds that the Owen the man she admires is about to close her business and cause her to look for somewhere else to live.I have given it 4 out of 5 as it is a gentle romance - nothing scarey or sad. I would have liked a stronger plot though.

Good read ...
In trying to put something right for two people, things are going to go very wrong for three others, but the person responsible for this has no idea the impact his actions will have on the lead character of this tale. For her, her whole world is being shaken up and where her and her children will end up is a huge stress and causing more unwanted conflict between her and her ex-husband. The her salvation comes from an unexpected quarter.Well crafted characters and believable situations. Really enjoyed this book.

Nice lighthearted read
This book has a good story line but I'm so sorry Ms Correll I don't think I would read the rest of the series. I hope this will be taken as constructive, not negative, criticism. I don't know if the author had an editor. I am presuming yes. My suggestion would be that both the author and the editor read the text out loud. What they should notice immediately is that many words are repeated over and over which spoils the flow; a pattern which occurs throughout. One example, which appears throughout the book , is the word 'boys' used in relation to the female character's sons. In the space of less than one page, we have references to time spent with the boys, the boys climbing into bed, the boys went in, (picking up) the boys, and driving the boys. We then have 'wearing the boys out', 'taking the boys', 'he wanted the boys' and 'She still had the boys. And we are still in Chapter 1. How about sons, kids or children to break the monotony? In another chapter the word 'building' turns up four times in one short paragraph. A thesaurus would provide plenty of alternatives and make the narrative more interesting. There are also many repetitions of general information, things we have already been told, re-stated as if the reader's attention span is in question.I was always taught to (a) read the copy out loud before committing, (b) try to avoid repetitions within a page if possible and certainly within a paragraph.

A Good Read
Although crime novels are my usual choice I sometimes just like a romance and I really enjoyed this one. Bella, is a divorcee with two young sons trying to make her own way in life with her own business. Suddenly her very way of life is threatened and not only that she is about to fall in love with the very person who is about to take away her livelihood. An easy read but well worth it.

I got this book for free and I had already read book two first, but it didn't matter because I already knew who the people were, it's a nice story and a good read.

Marked down for typos and errors
This is a nice cosy romantic story set in small town America, this is the first book focusing on one friend of a life-long trio of female friends. There are hints of the two other women’s stories which will follow in the next books. This book concentrates on Bella and her struggles as a single mum of two boys. She rents a shop which also has accommodation above that they live in as a family when her livelihood is suddenly taken away from her by the sale of the shop.I liked Bella’s character and admired her strength after her divorce to fend for herself with nobody else’s help. This point was repeated too many times apart from that the budding romance was nicely written.Although I enjoyed reading this story I have had to mark it down as ‘3* OK read’ as the typos and errors marred a good reading experience.

A good book when you need to slip away for some downtime.
Discover Comfort Crossing, Mississippi, a small town where people matter.A stubborn woman determined to make it on her own. Growing up with controlling parents, now divorced from a controlling husband, she's out to prove she's not a failure.A man on a mission arrives at Comfort Crossing to find his half brother. He has never known a true family. As lives cross and intertwine there's a whole lot of misunderstanding and heartache to sort out before a happy ever after for them all. A good start to a series set in a small town, but can be read as a stand alone.
