Make sure the gears and shafts from the music box are properly aligned, otherwise the gears will catch and it will not have a smooth mobile effect. Even if they do catch, this music box serves as a wonderful display piece. That always catches the eyes of guests and family.

I got this as a gift for a teacher and it was a huge hit, not difficult and very rewarding with a beautiful end result. I want to get one for myself as well.

I bought this for my 11 year old granddaughter, aware from the reviews that she would need help with it. When I opened it to take a look at the kit, I decided to try building it myself first, and then buying her another so it wouldn’t be frustrating if it was too difficult. I’m glad I did, because the biggest problem with the kit is that the direction’s illustrated instructions are sparse and hard to follow. It took me about 8 hours over 8 days to build, mostly because the pieces are very delicate and the fittings are tight (as they should be). By the end of each hour, my fingers hurt from the squeezing required to connect the pieces. Brilliantly, the designer seemed to know which pieces were most likely to break, and included doubles! See the video, I found the build challenging but very satisfying to finally wind it up and see it run! I’ll definitely be buying another for myself, and I now feel qualified to show my granddaughter how to complete it..

Got this for a Christmas gift for space enthusiast who also loves puzzles. He was able to put it together but some of the directions weren't the best. Took him a couple hours but when he got it together it was honestly one of the coolest music box puzzle i ever seen. Also be careful cutting some of the pieces out bc they can break pretty easily.

I get these every Christmas for my sister in law! She absolutely loves these! This one took her 3 hours to complete

Love 3 d puzzle

Before assembling this, I read through several reviews of this musical puzzle. I'm VERY glad I did! Someone posted a pic of theirs, fully assembled, that they stained before putting it together. I loved how it looked vs the pale, unstained wood and decided to go that route. The instructions are VERY easy to read/interpret & include caution notes in appropriate steps. All of the pieces were really easy to remove from the five sheets of parts, and a small bit of sandpaper was included to smoothly remove any lingering connection bits, and there were a few parts that the kit included and extra piece. Overall, I LOVE how easy this was to assemble and how it looks, though the plastic beads included are REALLY cheap and cheesy looking. I may try to find some nice glass beads to replace them at some point, but I'm unsure how easy that will be.
