Logitech Harmony Elite Remote Control, Hub and App (Renewed)

Already own this product but gave it to parents because the non hub version I had previously purchased them caused activity issues only because parent liked to press the activity then watch the remote screen and not keep remote in line of sight of A/V equipment, this caused this parent to have to hit the help button everyday to initiate the activity. I traded this purchased model with them because the remote did not have to have line of sight with hub and the hub had IR extenders. Problem resolved and and both parents have lived a consecutive two year happy A/V life. I decided to upgrade myself back to this version recently due to fact I'm tired of having a roku remote separately than my older harmony that only works with IR devices. Added bonus but not selling point I can sync remote with the rest of our smart home devices such as lights and blind controls.

Purchased after watching a positive installer review on YouTube and am now wishing I had found something else. My hopes were to streamline my setup which consists of a Samsung smart TV, Apple TV, Xbox, Nintendo switch, Sonos surround, and a generic external HDMI switcher. Like the headline says, it's working now after about three hours of setup... but certainly not well. Have used plenty of home automation products over the years (Philips Hue, SmartThings, Hubitat, etc..) and this is by far the most unintuitive and frustrating. The startup instructions are ambiguous and sometimes misleading depending on if you use the smartphone app or desktop app. Started off using iOS and had to move to desktop once I couldn't get past the initial pairing setup. Doesn't help either that the refurb unit I purchased has with a bad jack on the hub unit. Took a while to realize there was a connection problem that ended up being fixed by taping the USB cable down at an angle to keep it powered on. Would not recommend unless you are already pretty invested and well versed in the Logitech ecosystem. *Not fun*

At the time of programming Logitech did not have a version of their harmony software that is compatible with Mac OS X Catalina. programming was done entirely on their iOS app. Programming on that interface was pretty clunky and for whatever reason, having a different harmony remote in the house already programmed and on that app made it more difficult. Ultimately I hate to call customer service and they were able to get me going. Aside from that, this remote is fantastic. The macros work great. the Hub and IR repeater is an absolute godsend when you have hidden equipment. No missed commands when you're using RF vs a traditional IR repeaters system. Its sleek and very customizable, and MOST importantly.... It lights up!!!

This product was easy to setup and works perfectly. Take your time, follow the instructions in the app. I have gone from 5 remotes to 1.

I've had many logitech harmony models of the years. This has been the best! It's a damn shame to see them go, but I bought an extra one right before they sold out. Hopefully the servers stay up for a couple years :(

I have another Elite+Hub so I know this remote platform really kicks butt. The problem with the recertified unit I received is that one of the AC adapters was completely non-functional. The hub and remote charger both use the same adapter, so this was easy to test. (How it made it through the recertification process with seller i-tech Mall, I have no idea). Amazon only wanted to give me an option to send the entire package back, which was not a great option due to the item no longer being available.
