Hogue03178 Desert Eagle Grips, Checkered G-10 G-Mascus Green

I installed these Houge G10 grips after using the Houge rubber type. These feel and look good on my classic MK VII. 44 Mag. My DE MK VII has a ceramic OD green and FDE finish so these match well. And the better balance of the MK VII works well with the grips. The same grips didn't seem to fair as well on the MK XIX because of too much front end weight caused the palm well to dig in. The Houge G10 grips aren't made as neatly as some other G10 producers, the pattern doesn't match up as well and they can be tricky to fit (especially to a DE). But grip choices can be limited for the DE (if you don't want something childish looking). Bottom line the Houge G10 grips are good and function well, not as nice looking as VZ (if VZ made DE grips). But all in all should last as long as the pistol. All Houge grips have been tricky to install on either of my DEs (MK VII & XIX) but work well once in place.

Fit just right for a little bit but after a couple of uses they are very loose. Tightening them down doesnt do anyting any more, they just go loose again immediately.
