Considering this was the cheapest mvme i could find , this has performed great , i just used it to revive my old laptop and now it boots under 40 seconds

Nice and fast with a good size for a boot drive, performs quite well and is easy to install.

I'm trying to find out how SSDs behaves as they ages, building knowledge in advance of some sample testing at work. Although I bought the cheapest NVMe drive I could find with a recognisable name, this was fine and I've so far failed to kill it. Performance is fine (1200+ MB/s sequential write, 800+ MB/s random write) and after 5000 rewrites of the whole drive, it has yet to fail. After several lifetimes of normal usage over a month, performance has held up for normal PC use but wear levelling drops performance fairly quickly when hit by a 10GB or more of sequential write, or any random writing at all. However it's still nearly always 200MB/s+ even when under stress. This is a much better drive than I expected. I will continue to try to kill it in the name of building knowledge.

All as advertised, as easy as any other M.2 to install. Compact size, performs well, all speeds as shown in listing. Fab, very happy for a boot drive.

I picked this up purely to use as a boot drive in my HTPC. It's maybe not PCIe 5.0, but it's still fast, I've done a few tests on it and it passes without issue. Perfect.

By far the worst drive I have ever owned between HDDs and SSDs. It has caused me nothing but misery and pain in the 3-4 years I have owned it. I have had to wipe it clean a couple of times because the SLC cache gets so damn messed up the drive becomes unusable, read/write speeds degrage to a fraction of what they're supposed to be, Windows freezes up constantly when it's in a degraded state and frequently BSODs cause the storage controller is unresponsive. I've extensively discussed this with their support and they don't offer firmware upgrades or any other way to remediate. I was pointed to FreshSSD, some 3rd party software that I would have to keep running 24/7 in the background to manage TRIMs on their drive. Ironically I tried that out and FreshSSD does not read SMART data off this Patriot drive. What an absolute clown show.
