I think the reason why most of you are experiencing redness and swelling, possibly infection is due to the fact that many of you are probably wearing these too tight pressed fully up against the back of your ear, creating somewhat of a seal and trapping in moisture and bacteria in the process. Started wearing post earring, found that sleeping with them on was painful, the stud dug into my neck when I laid down, these back are what I needed, soft so when I lay down I don't feel the back digging into my neck!

These earring backs are very secure, to the point of being difficult to take off. As another reviewer mentioned, they may be intended for a thinner post than the average precious metal earring. Unfortunately, I do not think they are hypoallergenic, which is the main reason I purchased them. From wearing them for less than a full day, my earlobes have been come so irritated that I've needed antibacterial ointment and a break from any earrings at all to calm the area. I've had pierced ears for 30 years and cannot wear costume jewelry because of similar sensitivity.

So glad I bought these! They are perfect to keep my earring posts from poking me while I sleep. I agree with one other reviewer who said to not push them on too tightly. Which keeps the end of the post inside the clear bubble, not poking thru. When it is fastened this way, I have no earring post poking me, and they are very comfortable. I am very happy with these. Would purchase again.

I love these! My earrings no longer stab me in the head. I ordered them because I kept pulling the back off of mine when removing my face mask at the end of the day. I didn't want to end up losing an earring. I will definitely buy these again. I would recommend them to anyone. They are so comfortable it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything.

Only 2 of the 6 fit on my earrings. The other 4 are defective. The 2 I put on last night both poked through the silicone & into my skin overnight. I even have spacers on.

I've had issues for years finding tight earring backs, that do not cause an allergic reaction. These backs keep my earrings on tight, no slipping and not a single allergic reaction. Love these. I highly recommend.
