Professional Laminate Wood Flooring Installation Kit with Solid Long Tapping Block, Widen Pull Bar, Reinforced Double-Faced Mallet and 40 Spacers

Allowed me to slide locked in planks with ease and even lock in planks without tilting to the proper angle which was key around several tight spaces. Thought I ordered just to have for comfort but extremely happy I had it ready when I needed it.

After reading the reviews, I purchased the EAB Tool Exchange-a-Blade 2100005 9-Inch Laminate Flooring Cutter. I also purchased a not so expensive tapping tool, mostly for the tapping mall. The reviewer's review said that they had problems with the cutting block cracking at the handle. I have used this tool on about twenty or thirty pieces of laminate flooring. I have found no problems with it. I just wonder if the guy was putting his full body weight on the handle, or perhaps jumping on it? I'm 72, over-weight (~190 lbs) and I am on oxygen; I have absolutely no problem with this cutter cutting (I did buy this on because it had an extension for the handle). It is very easy to use. I get more exercise putting the laminate down than I do measuring and cutting it! The other review said that the tapping pry bar was so thin that it bent. I would suggest that even the strongest steel will bend if it is hit hard enough. The other option was to purchass a 13 inch cutter. I purchased a 9inch cutter that works well for smaller laminate flooring. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Do you absolutely need it? If you don’t have the metal bracket or the tapping block already - yes,most definitely you do! This kit will make the task much easier. I installed ~250 sq ft Coretec 1/2 inch thick LVP and I honestly would’ve had a difficult time w/o this kit. If you are a pro, you probably will have better tools anyways.The spacers are useful too. I was skeptical, but these came in handy at the edges and along the walls. Net net, IMHO the kit is worth the money. I recommend it.

Used on a small project so can't rate this for durability (tapping block or mallet) but I believe the quality is good. I liked that the pull bar has felt discs on the underside to guard against scratching. Comparable kit sells for over $40 at home improvement stores.

... hammer, block, and bar seem to be in good shape still.The spacers are useless crap. They dont stay together if you need to use more than one, and I glued sets of 3 of them together to get 1/2 inch spacing and they dont stay put. One tap on the board to slide it into place and the spacers just fall over/out. I didnt buy it for the spacers though.

It's the first time we install laminated wood floor all by ourselves, and these tools work for us really well!
