Works well enough
Works pretty well. Didn’t pierce polyester fabric when grommeting, but was able to clamp grommets on no problem.

It makes a good grommet but works best if you prepunch hole with a hole punch.
If the hole is not prepunched the material can get under the grommet on one side making the grommet less strong. If the pre punched hole is there, then the top hat half will form around the washer making a very strong grommet. I made about 30 holes and it worked great for me.

Efficient, easy to use tool.
Needed to add grommets to cover / tarp on a portable shed. Put a strip of duct tape front and back for additional strength. Loaded tool with grommet and backer, quick easy one squeeze. The grommet was set, clean punch through. Tool saved disassembling the cover and using a manual punch-set.

Works so good I want to put grommets in everything
If you follow the instructions (which are pretty simple) and get a tool that was assembled correctly (mine was), it's very easy to use. After reading the reviews, it seems that quality control is an issue, so if you get a bad one, return it for another one. Some reviewers are saying they didn't get enough washers but they're all there. It doesn't look like there are that many in the bag because they are very very thin. When you use them, be sure to look closely so you only put one in the tool.Before long, you'll grommetizing everything.

Not great, but works.
The tool seems sturdy. It does the main function its intended for but pretty piss poor quality. Doesn't punch through anything. Just causes fraying inside the hole and looks like crap BUT there is in fact a grommet where there wasn't before... I guess thats the best we can hope for these days.
