Silhouette America Stencil Roll

Used this material to make several wooden signs and it has worked great! I havent tried storing it and then reusing yet but I did make several signs at once using the same stencil on each and I have no complaints. When using a stencil brush there was no bleeding of the paint and the lines came out looking smooth and crisp!

When I 1st purchased this I cut 3 designs, & I wasn't real thrilled w/it because it was difficult to determine which part to keep for stenciling. (User error, buta common mistake when cutting stencils). Then I read to draw a square around your design & that changed the entire process!! I was using other adhesives that were for one use then you trash it. If you repeatedly use the design this is perfect! I use it for gold & silver leafing w/a spray adhesive & it's perfect! I can use each stencil several times, then I have to trash it but only because of the spray adhesive. If I used non spray adhesives the stencil would last longer (although Im happier w/the outcome using a spray). When using W/paper you'll need to lift the stencil off the paper slowly to keep from tearing the paper. One thing that helped was to take the stencil & press against my jeans a few times (same process Silh users do w/mats that are too sticky) this helped the stencil to lift fr paper without tearing the paper.I have not used it on other surfaces but LOVE it for leafing on paper. I'm ordering it a 2nd time & will continue to use it. I used a blade set at 4 & got a perfect cut. My only complaint, I wish Silh hadn't used clear as it's sometimes hard to see. Although the material they used is very sturdy! A lot of users use stencils for subway art w/wording, I have not used for this purpose.

I use my Silhoutte Cameo mainly for making stencils for my wood art/signs that I make. I purchased this to make a few stencils for some furniture pieces I was working on. There are a few things I absolutely HATED.1. Not a lot of material. For the price I'm paying, I expected a little more material to come supplied.2. I hate the fact that this is sticky. The cameo cuts out the stencil backing too, so when trying to save the stencil to use again, it's a puzzle to get the backing lined up with the stencil part.3. This comes rolled up, which is a pain in the you know what when trying to lay it flat. (i suggest putting it under a couple books before using)I think if you are using this for small items or signs, this could be useful. But since I was using this for a large project, it used up a lot of material and was not worth my money.

Ugh, I am SO disappointed with this. I was really excited because I loved the old stuff and I thought it would be great to be able to reuse the stencil over and over again. To my disappointment, even with a higher cut setting than required, I could not get the stencil to cut cleanly. I don't believe that my blade is dull and it wasn't a super intricate pattern. I was using my stencils to do some glass etching and used an entire roll and all of the stencils came out poorly. I salvaged a very small one, but after trying to reuse it, it started to tear and the lines weren't as crisp as with the old stencil vinyl. So disappointed in this product :(

The silhouette cut this almost without issues. There were just a couple of spots that I had to cut through with an Xacto knife. The sticky side works over and over, just don't drop it on a dirty floor (or leave it where your rotten kids can get to it and drop it on a dirty floor). I used this stuff to create a wall stencil, one of those geometric diamond patterns you've been seeing everywhere, and stenciled an entire wall with it, repeating the pattern and using the stencil about 96 times to do it. It worked very well! Just be sure to use a stippling brush and blot it, don't smear it, and you'll get nice, clean results. Had I been better at lining the stencil up, this wall would have been perfect.

Made my first wood project using this and it works like a charm! Will not disappoint!Used cricut vinyl stencil and that stuff is very stick, not easy to work with, and whips easily!

Buyer Beware- not the same as the stencil material that is included with the Silhouette Glass Etching Starter Kit. This material is much thicker, and the adhesive is less tacky. A good useful product for other projects, but not ideal if you're used to the supplies that come in the starter kit.

It's the most recommended stencil material for silhouette that I've seen. I've only used it once and not sure how often I'll use it. Seems great but don't know if I have the patience to weed small letters with this!

The plotter had a hard time cutting it with the automatic knife that came with my cameo4, even with its preset and and multiple passes. It looked like it would stick really well, but the bleach somehow seeped under it any how.I will try it again with an airbrush and a stencil brush but my first try did not convince

Lovely stencil material with a slight stickiness to it so that ink or whatever you are using as your preferred medium doesn't leak under the stencil. Very easy to cut on the Silhouette Cameo too.
