Does what it says.
Fitted correctly first time. Was able to pop a 1TB 2240 nvme into my 2017 MacBook Pro.Word of warning you will need to SuperDuper ( clone) your old drive to the new drive before fitting as ALL these type of adapters do not support web installs until you put the original install files onto the drive first. You can externally boot to get around this but it’s a faff. This is no criticism of the adapter this is a Mac OS requirement. All in all the perfect solution to the upgrade dilemma.

Easily upgraded to 1TB
Works well and fairly easy to install. Giving 4 starts because the standoff screw is a little fiddly. Went from 128gb to 1TB. Would recommend

Works well using alternative installation
Upgraded my base model Late 2016 MacBook Pro with the Sabrent Rocket Nano 2242 1TB SSD as many others here have.If you have a spare drive (USB, mechanical drive, SSD) that is bigger than your existing macOS installation, you don’t need to bother creating a bootable USB drive, performing a fresh install and restoring from Time Machine.Method I used:—> Use SuperDuper! (or Carbon Copy Cloner) to make a bootable clone of your existing macOS installation.—> Fit the hardware using your preferred online guide.—> Boot the clone.—> Disk Utility probably won’t show the Sabrent SSD, either in standard or Recovery mode, and it probably won’t be listed in the output of `diskutil list`. After power-cycling the device however, it showed for me in Disk Utility within Recovery.—> Format the Sabrent as macOS Journaled (APFS probably doesn’t show at this time)—> Reboot the clone, login, open Disk Utility and format the Sabrent again to GUID / APFS.—> Use SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner to clone back to the now internal Sabrent.—> Boot the internal drive.—> Profit

Works perfectly with my 2018 MacBook Pro 13"
This works perfectly with my 2018 MacBook Pro 13" and has given me a 512gb capacity for less than £100Be careful though, the amazon listing incorrectly states the adapter is compatible with M.2 M or B+M key SSDs, when actually it will only work the M key SSDs

Don't hesitate to buy
I bought this drive to upgrade my A1708 Macbook Pro. It was easy to install with the adapter, and I feel it is even faster than the original drive. I do recommend this product! If you are upgrading your Macbook Pro, don't forget to buy the small adapter as well.
