PrangWashable Tempera Paint, Orange, 16 Oz., 1 Count

This paint came without a cap - just the foil cover over the top. Once I open it, I won't be able to close it. Really disappointed.

So I wanted to leave a bad review on this paint because it is so watery, so thin, and despite multiple coats it remained virtually clear. However, my husband, an artist, tells me tempera is just junk paint so it does what is expected of it. He felt it was unfair to leave a poor review on a product that is performing as it normally does.I would return it but that seems like a hassle, so I will have to hope I have poster making opportunities in my future since evidently Tempera excels at that.In the meantime I was able to use some old Crayola white finger paints which covered the little pine pieces I was painting. I guess I know what to buy in the future when I want acrylic like coverage without the cost: finger-paints.If you need thin paint with poor coverage, this is perfect. The level of thickness is lighter than the lightest layer of wet mod podge.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to Crayola washable paint. I’m happy I did. It’s thinner than crayola but that’s not necessarily a bad thing because my son uses a but less of it. It’s washable and clean up is easy with a rag, but I clean up immediately after use and my son wears a smock. So far so good!

There’s...literally...no lid???? I ordered 2 different colors. This one came without a top. Basically useless once opened. I basically just paid 100x what I should for the amount I’ll get to use.

This paint color is a deeply saturated, true blue. It goes on paper nicely and isn't thin. It doesn't make your art paper curl up or get wavy with moisture, like some thinner paints will do. It lasted, also, didn't flake off. I paint my picture window with holiday and seasonal decorations and use Prang paints exclusively because they stick well, don't fade, and are easy to remove off the glass. I did find that it stained my clothes though (which I would expect of a quality paint), so dress for the craft!

Some of the black paints I have (other brands) are not true black. They are really very dark blue. It was frustrating as I teach preschoolers who are learning colors. They would be using "black" and calling it blue--which it was! So I tried this brand and yes, it is a true black. When mixed with white, it makes a nice gray color too. The thickness is just right. I will purchase this brand again!

I typically am a high-rater for Amazon products. This did not work at all. I simply wanted to paint (by stencil) a shamrock on a mask. Only a tiny bit (outline) showed up and that was after several coats. I tried the dry and repeat with no luck. But, it did wash out with ease. In the garbage it goes. And, really? The return date has passed this quick?

Low odor, good consistency, worked great on my horses. Add extra layer for vibrancy on fur. Was able to brush most of it off at the end of the day, a little soap and water and I don’t think you’d notice I had ever even painted my grey horse.

Great tempera paint- pretty much all tempera paint is the same and the price was good for this one.
