Sperlari mostarda has been a winter tradition with boiled beef and roasts since my childhood. I only regret that is so expensive here in the U.S.. It makes it difficult to serve t to a large crowd at Christmas time

These are so hard to find, and they are so wonderfully delicious. This is candied fruit, with a hot mustard after taste. That sounds weird, I know, but if you serve it with a rich meat, the combination is fabulous. I serve these with pork or duck- and it's especially delightful with BBQ pork (when you've made it with a rub- have never tried it with BBQ sauces, though I don't see why it would be nice on the side of that as well). You can use this anywhere you would use a chutney, basically, because it's really like chutney, but in this beautiful, unusual form. Do be aware the peaches may have pits! I think you'd notice that- but I wanted to mention it. Buon appetito!

To eat with boiled meat the MOSTARDA is wonderful

Very mild. Doesn’t have the zip of a sharp mostarda.

We order this product a couple of times a year for my father, an old Italian guy. He loves it! I'm so happy we are able to find it on Amazon; it makes it easy for us to surprise him with a couple of bottles every now and then.If you haven't tried this product, I highly recommend that you find a good recipe for Bollito Misto (mixed boiled meats) that includes beef, beef tongue, chicken, and sausage. This is the perfect and traditional accompaniment. Enjoy!

This product said it was available for return but when I tried to return it it said it was not available to send back. The picture did not show that it was whole pieces of fruit with seeds and there was no spicy mustard/mustard seed taste to it and it was very disappointing. It was overwhelmingly just fruit and sugar syrup. This is not what I expected and I'm going to try to make my own. Hopefully I can chop this up into little pieces and add some Dijon mustard and get it to taste right but it is just a sugar bomb. For $25 plus shipping this was a waste of money. The other products called MOSTRADA have a very mustard forward taste which complements the sweetness of the fruit but this has no mustard in it and no mustard seed or mustard powder or anything mustard it's just sugar in a sugar syrup.
