IT'S WORKING FOR ME
I have to address some of the issues that other reviewers have picked up on and give my perspective on a few things first then I will discuss the results after 1 week using the lotion. The RRP is BS - no business gives away product at that much discount. The tactic is very similar to a lot of imported goods being sold on Amazon where they try and make the gullible believe that they are purchasing at an amazing discount. I'm not sure if Amazon are behind this or the supplier but either way it's BS. So please don't be fooled.Secondly, when I apply the lotion I get no tingling whatsoever. That doesn't mean that you won't - it simply means I don't, and it could be a case that if you have a sensitive skin type (rather than the shoe leather I have), then you may feel tingling as mentioned by others. The use: a pea sized amount day and night of this stuff goes quite a long way, and I have barely made a dent in my bottle. So, if this works, for just short of £20, I reckon it will last between 2 and 3 months. But does it work? It's early days but I think it does. I decided to take a picture before and after and I suggest you make up your own mind. I tried to replicate the shot by using selfie flash mode on my iPhone and the same time of day (morning). In the first shot you can see my crows feet and I can can count 4. In the second shot, I can still count 4 but they look less obvious and the bottom has virtually disappeared. Also, underneath my eye there seems to be a difference - I have never really suffered with circles or darkness under my eyes. I just have general wear and tear, but I think the lotion has taken some of the age away?I can't tell you anything else other than I used it day and night. You will need to look at photos and draw you're on conclusions but I think after 1 week there is a difference. I will keep on going and will add weekly shots to see if I continue to make progress.3rd photo added: results after 16 days - you be the judge.

Skin goes slightly numb straight away
I'm going to ignore the price for this review, as it's beyond the reasons of affordability for me, and probably many others. This anti-wrinkle snake serum cream is marketed for men - the scent is stronger and more masculine, and the container is less decorative than the female version. The snake venom ingredient is the big thing here - since this particular snake bite causes paralysis, the reasoning is that it can work as a safe alternative to botox when applied to the skin. It also makes the cream very pricey.A pea-sized amount is to be applied to wrinkly areas of the face after cleansing - you can feel it straight away as the skin starts to feel very numb and smooth. After a few days, I really do believe it's making a difference, as my lines seem to be shallower.I can feel it on my face making my skin slightly numb, and this gives me a bit more confidence about my 'ageing' looks. That's half the battle as far as I'm concerned.I think it's having a genuine effect though - and this is why I'm ignoring the price: if you can afford to give it a go, it's a five star product. If you can't (like me), it's still as effective and still worthy of the same score.

Instant youthing effect, but only temporarily
My boyfriend is always very skeptical of beauty products. He thinks they're overpriced and "do nothing" so I gave him this to try. He's in his early 30s and has a few signs of normal ageing.Directions "use a pea sized amount and massage into your skin using circular motions"He followed the instructions and has used this for a few weeks now (though he doesn't use it every single day). When he uses it he says that he feels a tingling and tightening sensation on his skin.It gives a really nice matte look to his skin, and does give an instant youthing effect, one that even he was highly impressed by. He doesn't have oily skin but just the total matte effect really makes a difference. He looks much fresher faced when he uses this.He says that it's quite a light product to wear and other than the initial sensations when applying it he can't really feel it's there, but if you touch his skin it's a lot softer than usual. It doesn't give any negative effects such as blocking pores / giving him spots. It's definitely only a temporary youthing effect as it only works while he is wearing it, but he does like it. I'm unsure whether he likes it enough to buy it himself as he's fashion conscious but not particularly vain when it comes to natural ageing. At the discounted £20 price he may consider it but at the normal £90+ mark, no way!

Wrinkle teaser
In terms of presentation, this looks like an expensive bottle of moisturiser; an orange box with little in the way of embellishment and a heavy, tubular pump-action container with a clear panelfor the cream. There’s no product leaflet inside the box although I received a sample so I hope more information may be provided subsequently. This promises to do the usual hydration and also to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by inhibiting muscle contractions thanks to Syn-ake, an ingredient that apparently mimics a polypeptide that is found in the venom of the Temple Viper Snake. The brief instructions on the box state a pea sized amount should be applied morning and evening. I found it absorbed readily and was non-greasy.Immediately on application I could feel a tingling sensation although that quickly passed. Whilst my face felt different on the treated areas any difference to the actual texture was imperceptible to my eye and I didn’t get any odd looks from people trying to work out why one side of my face looked different to the other. The moisturiser comes in an expensive package and did make my face feel different to normal although I struggled to actually see any difference. Whilst my skin felt tighter (and thus the skin presumably was tighter), I’m not sure it made any perceptible difference to warrant the high price tag.

Snake Oil?
What an exciting idea! Wrinkle Killer! Au venin de serpent! What, it's got snake venom in it? Oh, no, it hasn't. Closer reading of the product description tells us it contains a chemical that "mimics the action" of snake venom. They call it Syn-ake. I can't find it in the list of ingredients, which is headed up by water and glycerin, as in most moisturisers.Meanwhile, you get the usual Skin Chemists excellent, good-looking dispenser bottle, with a pump action that lets you take exactly as much as you need and no more. The recommended amount is "pea-sized", which I found does not go very far, and have upgraded to bean-sized so as to cover enough skin surface. And the product is very pleasant to use, has almost no odour, and vanishes in a couple of minutes. This twenty-quid serum is priced as if it used to be £135, then £91.97, and now the real price. That seems a poor marketing practice to me, as it gives the impression that Skin Chemists had a go at selling at a very high profit for a while, and have now got realistic.
