Lift chair replacement remote controller with heat and massage button adjustments. 9 pin plug connection. Review: For the price this is an excellent after market chair control that installed easily and works ... - For the price this is an excellent after market chair control that installed easily and works well. We did research these online before purchasing and this is by far the most reasonably price. Some other sites have them listed at 3 X the price of what we paid here for the exact same thing. And if your wondering if this will replace your original Tranquil Ease 7051-3 hand control, yes it will. This was the big question we had before purchase. If the plug on your remote has a 9 pin "D" shaped serial port plug, with 2 self contained screw hold-downs that secures the plug into the control box, then this unit should work on your chair. Many here have described this plug as being rectangular in shape, but it is actuality a D shaped serial port plug (shaped like a long narrow capital D surrounding the pins), just like you use to see on many computer applications (such as the old stye inkjet printers). Our only negative about this product, which also applies to the oem hand controller that came with the chair when new, is that there isn't enough cord to adequately use it without putting unnecessary strain on the coiled cord or hand unit. This is why we had to replace our original in the first place. The pulling on the coiled cored over the years eventually causes the wires to pull out of the hand controller; so about 6 more inches of cord would have been nice. Being a design flaw we didn't deduct any star ratings from the seller for this minor inconvenience and figure only time will tell if this becomes a recurring issue. But in no-way does this reflect the fault of the seller, their provided service and their great price compared to others. We were just hoping the manufacture would have taken this into consideration when re-designing these. Review: Works great! - The lift chairhas been in continual use and worked well for several years. It is easy to repair, and customer service is very helpful.

ATTENTION - The "Junction Box" is in the BACK of the chair!
I bought my lift-chair used, and I am NOT mechanically inclined. When my hand control quit working, I got the part number off the back, and ordered this part. It arrived yesterday. This morning I turned my lift chair over, and followed the old wire to the motor. :o That cord didn't have the same plug on the end. So I came back to the reviews where people kept mentioning the "junction box" and that the cord plugged into the junction box. BUT I don't see a junction box ANYWHERE on the bottom of the chair. But now I look at the picture so I know what it looks like. SO, I get a flashlight and look up to the back of the chair. BINGO, there it is! I had to pull the staples out of the back chair cover to access the junction box, but after that, it was just a matter of unplugging the old control and plugging the new one in. Instead of running the coiled cord back down to the floor and back up to the pocket, I just ran it through the back right next to the junction box, hammered the staples back down and now there's plenty of cord. I can still store the control in the side pocket, but it will just sit on the arm of the chair with no undue pressure pulling on the ends of the wires now. Like I say, I am a 65 year old woman who is NOT mechanically inclined, but I was able to do this and only had to use one band-aid where one of the staples caught my arm. The chair is back in use and working just fine. TOOLS NEEDED: flashlight, hammer, one or two band-aids. :)

The 2802 is compatible with the Tranquil Ease SLJ-X04-K5 junction box.
I have an older lift chair powered by an Okin Motor that is controlled by a four button (i.e., lock, unlock, up, down) Raffel "Easylift" hand control which connects to a Tranquil Ease SLJ-X04-K5 junction box. The chair does not have heat or massage features. The hand control has developed an intermittent connection and I needed to buy a new control. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find an exact replacement for the four button "Easylift" model so I purchased this Tranquil Ease Model 2802 hand control that has heat and massage buttons. The 2802 is manufactured in China and distributed by Raffel Systems (www dot raffel dot com), a design house in Germantown, Wisconsin under the Tranquil Ease brand as Model HC-2802HL-PR3. The 2802 I purchased was sold by LiftChairsRus, LLC (www dot liftchairsrus dot com), a lift chair parts supplier in Mount Dora, Florida and was shipped in an individual USPS box directly from their store in Florida. As can be seen in the product images, the 2802 is a six button controller (i.e., up, down, lock/unlock, heat, massage, and massage intensity) with an angle keyed "rectangular" 9 pin plug. Installation was straightforward. I disconnected three cable retaining clips, unplugged the old controller, plugged in the new one, and secured the cable with retaining clips. The only issue I had arose from cable length. The cable of the old controller was about 12 inches longer than the new cable so I had to re-route it to account for the shorter length. The up, down, and lock/unlock work fine. Since my chair has no heat or massage elements, the heat/massage buttons light up but, of course, don't do anything. So, the 2802 is compatible with the SLJ-X04-K5 junction box with working up, down, and lock/unlock buttons; however, in my opinion, the cable needs to be about a foot longer...so four stars.

Wonderful chair Puppy ate my cord into.
Don't get rid of your lift chair because this part was damaged. Your favorite chair: it vibrates your back, the heat keeps you warm and cozy, and it helps you get out of the chair. The parts basically plug together.
