Astavita Healthy Living Antioxidants

This is the brand I had been recommended for a quality astaxanthin product. While I have enjoyed the consistency of the actual product, I am anxious due to the fact that this is the third iteration I have had to start using from Astavita because 1) the first iteration I could no longer purchase through amazon, and had to go to an alternative site to purchase 2) I couldn't get that first iteration from my alternative site due to discontinuation, and had to go to the next option from Astivita (that had only added one ingredient to the formula to increase effectiveness) that also happened to go up in price (due to the one added ingredient? increase in demand?) 3) that second iteration is no longer an option on either site and I am now on this one, which is the same as the middle version but has a higher amount of astaxanthin than the previous versions per dose (went from 4 to 12 mg), but is also more per bottle than any of the previous versions. So far this works to my advantage, as I can get away with taking only one capsule a day causing the bottle to last a bit longer. Not sure what I'll do when this gets too expensive/ridiculous to maintain. Wish the company had some of the same consistency as the actual product formulation.

Today is 10/2016. Product expired 9/2015 when it arrived this week. Watch out.

Astaxanthin is what gives salmon its red color. It's a powerful anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory carotenoid. These are small softgels, taken two at a time with a meal once daily. On the back of the bottle near the bottom, it says "Lot N755 DOM 09/2015". Since most vitamin manufacturers put their bottle's expiration date in exactly this location, one might reasonably assume that the bottle has an expiration date of 09/2015. However, on closer inspection, there is a little sticker on the very bottom of the bottle that says "Expiration Date 08 2018"! The "DOM" apparently stands for "Date Of Manufacture". This is VERY tricky packaging and it really needs to be redesigned ASAP!! Note: I received a discount coupon for promising to do an honest review.

You dont get sick..you see skin improvement you see more get up and go..you start changing to healthier habits eating etc. I see a positive change in hair skin nails. I'm in late 50'sMy skin ACTUALLY LOOKS YOUNGER !All over ! I take this along with the ALA/ALCAR suppliment and i see measureable results !something is going right here..And the best part is no garbage in this formula !I do have to thank ThePeoplesChemist - Shane Ellison for pointing me to this product.. without his recommendation i would have passed it up due to the cost.. although i still think its a bit pricey..i will be purchasing again.Nobody paid me for this review !No disounts either.. I paid full price..one other thing..before you try to buy this cheaper..remember to look for filler GARBAGE lurking in all stuff nowdays..some of it causes you more harm than the good you will get from taking it. and the other stuff, well lets just say..dont go there..GET THIS ONE..
