Like many, I used to buy the rolls of vacuum bag material thinking it was much cheaper that way, then I found these, way more convenient, saves time and way cheaper than any of the rolls. I got 100x the larger bags (20x30cm), they are big enough to seal a 1kg bag of flour but not a 1.5kg bag, just for sizing guides, for smaller items they can easily be cut in half. The little cutout in the top makes them super easy to be opened after you have sealed something inside, depending which way you measure them, you are getting 20 or 30 meters for comparison to roll material, so quite a saving.For those thinking about getting a vacuum sealer, just get one, vacuum sealing meat for the freezer is a game changer, it literally come out the freezer in exactly the same state as the day it went in, even months later, plus so many more uses, once you have one.

These are just the right potion size for me - and I have tried all of them! Well made too, and easy to write on the smooth side.

This is the second set of these that I've bought. The first set we're great. However, as others have said, this more recent batch seem to stop a vacuum sealer from being able to draw all the air out of it. Maybe some manufacturing issue? Whatever the cause it renders these bags effectively useless as they will seal still half full of air.Even with a vacuum sealer that has a manual vaccum option, you are unable to draw more than half the air from.Avoid.
