Works for Me
Just finished building my ramps using this kit, and I'm impressed. Using the best pieces of 2x10 I could find at Home Depot, I was able to construct two sturdy, stable ramps in less than an hour and use them to load my Troy Bilt 17.5 HP lawn tractor into my pickup truck. Since I don't plan on moving the mower very often, I'm glad I didn't spend the money on dedicated metal ramps. The ramp ends appear to be aluminum. The machining is of very high quality. All the hardware for attaching the ends to the wood is included in the kit. The instructions are line drawings but very easy to understand and follow. They include a chart showing how long to cut your boards for a given height. (Example: My truck bed is 2'4" high, so the chart said my boards should be 7'8" long. This seemed to work.) The chart recommends "extra support" for boards beyond a certain length, but it doesn't say what that means. I bought 2x4s to attach to the bottoms of the ramps, but I ended up not using them. The boards hardly flexed at all when I loaded/unloaded the tractor. The kit also includes two rectangular, self-adhesive rubber pads that stick to the bottom surface of the ramp ends where they rest on the truck bed or tailgate. They help keep the ramps from slipping and may keep your truck from getting scratched. For further security, the kit provides four steel pins that go through holes in the end plates. These require you to drill four corresponding holes in whatever surface the plates rest on. I didn't use them because I didn't want to drill holes in my tailgate. I found the rubber pads sufficient to keep the ramps steady. If you're loading a something heavier or harder to control, you might need the pins. The instructions recommend putting non-skid tape (not included) on the ramp surfaces. I did that, but I think the tractor would have made it up and down the ramps without it. Looks kind of professional, though.Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. The ramp kit is easy to use and performed exactly as advertised. I would not hesitate to buy other products from this manufacturer.

Simple and Tough
The design is simple yet tough. Quality manufacturing, good instructions, easy and straightforward to build the ramps with 2x10 lumber. Recommend you use the metal bracket of the kit as a guide when drilling the boards for the bolts, rather than free hand it. That will give you a nice 90 deg hole. I added non-skid tape to ensure traction and a 2x4 on the bottom of the plank for added strength. Haven't used but it looks like just what the doctor ordered.

Worked perfect
I used these to get my small riding lawn mower on and off my 1999 Ranger. I did take off the tailgate and drill the holes on the edge of the bed. I didn't want to drill holes in the top of my tailgate. I painted the holes with rust proof paint for protection. I used 2x8" boards and cut the ends on an angle at the ground and a firm 45 degree angle to attach the Ramp Kit. The rails didn't budge at all getting it on or off. Easy to assemble, just don't lose the metal pegs!

Great product
I have a flat bottomed boat with a trolling motor that I use for wildlife work. Because many of the lakes I go to have a soil ramp and the water level is fairly low. I use ramps that I constructed with these strips on the surface to get my boat into the water. Although I have a winch, these slides make it easy enough to off-load and load my boat by hand most of the time because it slides so well. They were wider than I needed for my purposes and trimming them with my circular saw was a challenge that demonstrated that they are a rugged product.

The best option to adding a set of Ramps to your resources
This product was very easy to use with a drill, drill bit and some sockets it was assembled and ready to use. I used 2x10s which made these ramps very sturdy. I am very pleased with the amount of effort I can load tractors, ATVs, and equipment. It's a great buy for a cheap solution that is just as good as any 200 pair of ramps

Very cheap alternative
I purchased this kit so that way I could load my '92 Honda 750 Nighthawk into the back of my F-150 (which has a really high tailgate). I used a 10 foot long 2"x10" and cut it to 8 feet and used the other 2 feet as reinforcement by screwing it underneath in the middle. The bike weighs about 550 lbs neither the aluminum end or the board bend at all. I could only used one of the aluminum pieces but it couldn't of worked any better. It's way smarter than buying some expensive metal ramp sense it's much cheaper and way lighter. Definitely a good buy for no matter what your loading weather it's a motorcycle, four wheeler, lawn mower, or just a ramp to make loading and unloading stuff out of your truck or trailer easier.

Works great for a large zero turn mower on a 6x12 utility trailer.
Easy to attach to a 2x10. Solid material.

Easy to install and use
Super easy to install. Easy to use, I added a couple of rings to the side of planks to attach ratchet straps to truck of trailer when loading to keep ramps in place.
