This is probably my favorite eyeliner ever! I have always had trouble finding an eyeliner I like in any brand, any type, and any price range. The pencils were either too light or too thick or smeared or faded too easily, and I have an even worse time with liquids and gels. Unfortunately, I prefer my appearance with eyeliner. Lately, I've been attempting to make many of my own products out of organic ingredients; but knowing my luck with commercial eyeliners, I presumed my anything I made would require many trials and errors. So I did some research and decided this was a brand I'd be comfortable using. This is the smoothest, easiest to apply, least smearing, perfect dark line drawing eyeliner I have ever used, and it's not filled with a ton of toxic chemicals I can't even pronounce! (And it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes or skin at all.) I will absolutely continue to buy this and happily recommend it.

I love all Jane Iredale products. This glides on smoothly, doesn't smudge or wear off, and gives a great color. **Update 1/8/2014 I recently purchased the color Taupe. Since Amazon only lets you review one color of an item, I wanted to add my comments about the Taupe. It is the perfect color for eyes and lips. It is a very subtle brown for your eyes and a little darker on the lips. It is great for the "I'm not wearing any makeup, I'm just naturally beautiful" look. I pair the lip liner with the sugar and butter lip duo set and it gives you a perfect neutral color with a tiny tint of color. On the eyes it gives you some color without being too made up or overbearing. Great choice for an all in one lip and eye pencil. I'll update as I purchase additional colors. I currently own black/grey, great for that smokey eye look, beautiful for green eyes. Basic brown, a darker brown for more dramatic eyes, black/brown, which was my original review, good for dramatic smokey eyes, Nude, a good color for eyes and lips. On the lips it is a brownish mauve and on the eyes it is a brown with a hint of pink, which looks good with pink, brown, or purple shadows. Lastly, Spice, which I use for a lip liner. It is a lighter brown with a lot of pink undertones. It goes great with lip colors along the lines of Sarah and Sandra as well as the lip sugar and butter duo. I am blonde, blue/green eyes (they change), and light to medium skin with olive undertones. I hope this thorough review helps!

I cannot rave enough about this eyeliner. . . and I'm an eyeliner aficionado! I find that it is usually super hard to find a natural eyeliner that looks good, is easy to apply, and has staying power. But Jane Iredale has it all! I work for a fitness company so often times I get all ready for work, get into the office, and then need to do a workout to test a new product. I do not have the time or patience to worry about reapplying. Luckily, I almost never experience smudging, and I never need to reapply. That being said, upon application there's still some wiggle room with the liner. You can blend it out and correct lines easily. It's also easy to remove (I use coconut oil or petroleum jelly). The pencil seems to last a long time, too. I wear it everyday (applying only once a day) and I'll resharpen once a week.

Here's a brow pencil you will love; it's easy to control, has good coverage, made from stellar ingredients. Just wish the color samples were larger, so a consumer can make a more informed choice. Perfect fill in for those of us whose brows need some help.

It was smooth on the eyelid, and the color was basic brown with no sparkle like in the picture. I fell asleep for like 6 hours with it on and no smudging or transfer at all. It didnt move. So thats what im looking for in an eyeline. Good color, easy to use, and please dont budge. So this one wins. Id love it to be less expensive. Cause 20 bucks for a pencil liner is just excessive to me, but ill have it forever cause i dont use eyeliner that much. Im ok with this though, glad i bought it.

Pros: lovely light brown for a no makeup look, cruelty free, fairly clean formula, soft enough to tight-line, looks soft and natural on fair skin and light lashes, sharpens well, can do a thin line or smudge it out, lasts well, especially if set with a similar eyeshadow Cons: cost, probably not right for a flick Bottom line: If you need light definition in a clean formula, give this a try. You could probably use it as a brow pencil too and it works beautifully as a subtle blended shadow.

I love how smoothly this goes on, it's like the softest butter ever! It's so pretty and so simple and adds such an allure to your waterline. But, it doesn't stay on. It needs to be reapplied within about five minutes, as long as you're going for the waterline. It just isn't pigmented enough and doesn't seem to have any hold to it. So with it's lack of grip, it does leak onto all my other makeup (even if it isn't a liquid) and into my eyes, but my eyes don't seem to mind the ingredients. I wouldn't recommend if you wear contacts though. No burning eyes or redness, but it could coat your eye contacts. I do like the size! It's thick so it covers quickly. That'll be great since you'll need to put it on constantly.
