The Life We Bury

This book kept you on the edge of your seat. Stumbled across this author by chance and glad I did. Now on to my second book of his.

So I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I liked the characters, the pace, the story development and it was a relaxing quick read! Am obvious ending in relation to unpicking the ‘mystery’ but one I didn’t mind as the flow of the book kept me interested and I was after a feel good kinda read. Would recommend if you don’t want anything to taxing and are after an easy read and good style with likeable characters.

I hadn’t heard of this author but will read more of their work. It was pacy and well written.

This book is very well written. It wasn’t an easy book to digest for me. A lot of scenes that made me sick to my stomach. I had to read it from one go as I couldn’t stop. If you feel sensitive at very descriptive violent scenes you will be left a bit shaken. The author is gifted.

Well written, great premise. Clever take on a detective novel. Twists and turns kept me reading. I enjoyed it immensely, even if some aspects were a tiny bit predictable. Would recommend others to read it.

I was given this book to read for my book club, and I absolutely loved it - couldn't put it down. The characters are so real, and its such an unusual angle for the story, and stereotypes are constantly shot down. Each character in this book refuses to be two dimension and its fascinating. A superb read with a lovely ending.

I really enjoyed this book. It was something to "get your teeth into" and was satisfying to read. I had not heard of this author before but will buy more of his books.

A great debut novel. Well written and packed full of character. Haven't finished it yet and I'm really looking forward to finding out how it ends.
