This chunky, sturdy, all metal and wood bread knife is such an excellent replacement for my 10 year old bread knife which has see so much use that it literally bends as you try to cut with it, because it's more blunt than a spoon!The 1" x 8" stainless steel blade (5" handle, thus 13" total length) has a Damascus steel DESIGN, which makes it stand out in an otherwise boring drawer/block full of plain metal blades. The wooden handle feels premium and provides a good grip on the blade also.The packaging it arrives in is nice enough to give the blade as a gift, as the blade arrives with the plastic sheath around the knife, inside plastic, inside padding, inside a cardboard box with a magnetically closing lid.

The knife is beautiful to look at and absolutely glides through the bread.The fact that it is comfortable to hold, makes it feel secure and safe to use.I am very happy.

The handle on the knife is great to hold and doesn't give me any discomfort when I'm cutting my bread. For the money, I got a nice looking bread knife with a very sharp blade. So far it hasn't let me down, I don't need to squish my bread in order to cut it anymore and has been a very good replacement for my last knifeThe knife seems like its built very well so it doesn't look like it will break anytime soon. I picked it out because the handle looked amazing and I'm happy to say it looks like it does in the picture
