Washburn's Hard Candy (2 Pack, Total of 25oz)

I got 4 cans 4 xmoose 2020, the little bit of candy that u get with these, must either sit in high humidity? Or were bagged while still hot! 1 can was 4 me I got a big surprise when I opened the inside baggy, all of the candy had melted 2gether 2 the point that my wooden hammer couldn't break them apart! So I decided NOT 2 give them out 4 xmoose! I'm glad that I didn't give them out! 3 out of 4 were like just a pretty colored big ball, the 4th can was more reasonable it was all lightly stuck 2gether.

Turned out it was a very good price, & the taste was fresh with no staleness! My grandmother loved them!

Washburn hard candy is stale and tasteless! Even the outer wrapping paper has a smoky, foggy looking color and you can hardly see the candy through it. Some of the candy filling is missing with holes where the filling supposed to. I was gonging to buy some for family members, but I am glad I did not!!! The color of the candy is also faded and it is supposed to have a sheen because I have bought this product before and know what it is supposed to be, look like and taste like!

This is some of the best hard candy I've ever tasted! I don't know why it's so good... it just is! But I didn't give it 5 stars because all the pieces stick together no matter what I do. It was all in one big clump when I took it out of the tin. I dumped it into a gallon-sized Ziploc bag and shook the bag - most of it separated nicely. But then I put it into a covered candy dish, and within 30 minutes nearly all the pieces were glued together again... and stuck to the bottom of the dish! Just know that if you buy this candy, you'll have to fight with it. I still think the extraordinarily good flavor is worth the effort!

This was a big hit with our family! Growing up, both my and my husband's grandparents kept different types of candy in cut glass, covered candy dishes in their homes, and Washburn's hard candy was surely one of the candy varieties offered to guests. This past Christmas, I passed down candy dishes that I'd received as a young bride from my Grandmother toeach of our sons, and also gave them each some Washburn's hard candy. My husband and I shared our stories about those 'sweet' memories and traditions, and we all delighted in seeing the different bright colors and designs of the candy and picking out which ones we'd like to sample. Our sons, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren were all captivated by the stories of simple hospitality in times past. They so enjoyed this that they began their own candy dish traditions, setting out their handed-down candy dishes and sharing these tasty little candies with those who visit them. Washburn's hard candies have been repeat orders in our family!

An annual Christmas candy in my house for generations! Always the best!
