DecoArt Galaxy Glitter Acrylic Paint 2oz-Meteor-Aqua

This is a great product. When you paint it on. only the glitter shows. So if you paint this on top of red paint. It will still be red and the glitter adds the great final touch

I already had a DecoArt brand (Craft Twinkles) of silver glitter paint and really like it but needed a glitter paint in gold. I tried a different brand but it was more like a regular metallic so bought this DecoArt Galaxy Glitter and couldn't be happier! I show in my photos the edge around this resin tray that I painted with this gold glitter paint, this is exactly the effect I was trying to achieve. Another thing I was skeptical about before even trying glitter paint was fear of it flaking off, kind of like what happens with Christmas cards. But not so with this Galaxy Glitter. Once it dries, it's on there and does not flake off. Although I will say that I do like to paint a fine thin layer of a glossy varnish just to play it safe, I do this with pretty much every craft project where I have to paint something. If you are not looking for a paint with light ultra fine (like powder) glitter, this paint would not be for you. It is not powder fine. Even the DecoArt Twinkles silver paint I have is pretty fine (like the Christmas card glitter), so those glitter particles are smaller than in this Galaxy Glitter paint. But I personally love this Galaxy paint in gold.... well, the color name is actually Starburst-Champagne. (which if you ask me is still gold by any other name). Not only am I giving this paint 5 stars, but I see they have other colors such as blue and green and I am going to go order some more colors! Thanks so much for reading this review. This glitter worked perfectly but use a base paint on the item you are painting first for the glitter paint to stay on the item.
